Re cataract surgery: the actual surgery was painless and well done, and all the medical care was excellent. Plus, I followed the directions for post care to a T. All the administrative stuff that goes along with it was a nightmare. For example, if I had an appointment at 11AM, I
might get in by noon, and because no one can drive, everyone brings someone, and the waiting room was always packed. At one appointment my husband and I had to sit on the grass outside. And then, although they said they took my insurance, and I had already paid a copay, they billed me for the full amount. They saw the error of their ways, eventually. I think all of the administrative issues were due to understaffing.
