Think I'm sorted on these.
Any thoughts on these? I'd like some woven tops, or knit with a little interest or detail. Ultimately when it's super hot, I'm seeking something that can wear and wash well to be practical.

I like 5/6 and 7/8 a lot. Also the moto jacket is cute. Also your jeans are cute, too! The flowered tops are fine, but seem unremarkable.

OK, I love pic 1 the best, perfect with the gorgeous jeans and not too sheer at all. Then 2/3, ruching at stomach excellent, then 7/8, nothing wrong with side view. I don't think 4 is nearly as flattering as 2/3 and they are quite similar.
I'm not so fond of 5/6 and 9 and 11/12. Don't like the colours and styles on you as much, love 13.
You look awesome! What's with the other thread about the menopausal body? You look at least 10 years too young for menopause to me

I like all except 4, 9 and 11/12. My favourites are 2/3, 10 and 13, and I think you wear the sleeveless tops very well - love the colour of the fuchsia.

I wouldn't have noticed the "eyes and eyebrows" on 10 if you hadn't mentioned it, but it certainly isn't an issue.

I've recently been shopping for tops so your post is timely.

I want to start this by saying ALL of the tops look spectacular on you. I have some bias against certain prints and that affects what I might think. That does not mean the tops aren't GREAT for you.

I ADORE 2/3. The color. The print. The fit. The ruching. You look amazing. I hope you give serious consideration to owning this one.

Number 4 is too busy for my personal taste.

Numbers 5/6 are my happy color. You look beautiful. I wonder if the top might be a bit big for you? Others might have more insight into ft issues.

7/8 is just plain beautiful on you.

Can't say that 9 does anything for you.

I really like 10 a lot. I don't see eyes or eye brows, but if you do, don't buy it.

I really like 11/12 as well. Having seen you in lighter tops, the 11/12 seem dark. Perhaps you are most flattered by lighter tops?

I'm with the voters for 2/3 and 10 and moto! Fabulous! I do like the white flyaway, I think it could be a fun summer look, in fact, I might go out looking for it for my niece's graduation!

2/3 is perfect - super flattering. I also like the navy moto. You know, you really should have called me and I would have met you at the store I need tops in the worst way too and just cannot figure out what to buy. Although the fuchsia and the ivory floaty tops are nice on you, I am having a personal "over it" feeling for those fly-away and faux layered sleeveless tops. Saturating the sales floors everywhere. Is there nothing else we can wear?

Thanks for the feedback so far. #4 and #9 are definitely out of the running. #4 didn't fit me well, and I really don't need more black.

I'm going to pop back to the store this morning and should be able to get #2. It was on clearance, so the price was good too.

Moto jacket does not fit your shoulder line. Too wide.

Sterling - I do like myself in light colors or white if I can find the right thing. In looking at my closet though, I have almost exclusively dark tops. Something to try to work on.

Unexpectedly to me, I did like #11, but it is not really a top that would likely be in my daily wardrobe.

Top #7 could be useful for me. I was looking for something similar this fall for a layer, but with the layering it already has, I would need to test it out to see if it lays nicely underneath things.

Texstyle - you definitely keep me honest about the jacket. I loved it, and both of the Blazers I currently have are snug. I have been wanting a more informal jacket/blazer/blouse as a potential interview jacket. I would like something more casual. I'm not sure if this navy jacket with either navy pants or black pants would look too suit like, which I'm trying to avoid. And this mythical jacket or blouse should probably be good for my summer months.

Lisap - yes, we could have fun shopping together.
I understand your point about the flyaway tops. I am trying to think if I actually have any, but may not. I did like that it was light but the layers avoided a sheer factor that I find in too many tanks or shells.

I saw those embroidered jeans at Macy's and thought they were adorable. They look great on you (not on me, so I walked away). Love the way 1 has complimentary but not matching texture with jeans. 2/3, 10 and moto are all keepers.

Angie - these are Vintage America. I found at steinmart. Had never gotten anything there before. Runs larger through waist, and bigger overall. I see them at Macy's too. (Sorry, I'm almost a veteran, but have never figured out finds on my iPad, the only device I really use for this site).

Am I the only one who sees a puppy face in #2?
I really like that top on you, very flattering and the colors are beautiful on you!
3/4 reminds me a little of a health care uniform top but the colours are nice.
I don't understand your hesitation toward sleeveless, you have very good looking arms. The 2 sleeveless are both very nice, the pink looks a wee bit roomy.
Love the last 2, they are both gorgeous on you!
After Angie mentioned the moto being a bit big I looked at the picture again, I can see what she means. I can also understand your need for room in that area.
Looking forward to see what you decide!

Tina - that is so funny about a puppy face. I can't get a dog right now, but just before I tried this on I was a a shelter and loving on the cutest dog. Then someone came in and decided to get this sweet little girl. It made me happy for her.

I'm going to try to get over my issue with sleeveless. It's just a longstanding thing.

I will likely hold off on the blazer, as it's not a need and not really in budget right now, but if it goes on sale and I see it, I may ignore Angie and get it anyway. I hate fitted shoulders

Re: the jacket. When shopping my main concerns are whether or not I will wear it and will I feel good wearing it. Feeling good is two fold, I need to be physically comfortable and not make me feel self conscious or conspicuous. Physical discomfort, especially tight arms, usually ends with the garment going unworn. I have arms on the larger side for the rest of my frame and I know what you are talking about.

I like 2, 7 and the moto. I think 2 and 7 could also be worn WITH the moto (though defer to Angie about shoulder fit, I do love that jacket). I've been looking at shirts like the CK for layering pieces, so really love that, will have to look or it. Found a similar at WHBM but with spaghetti straps, which even for layering I just don't prefer.

I think these all look pretty terrific on you, so it's just a matter of your preference. What store were you in? Karl Lagerfield is typically only carried in Lord & Taylor in my area and it's a brand I've been looking at lately.

Tina - thank you for understand my issues with things being constricting. I used to err on the smaller side of things, and then I wouldn't wear them as much because they weren't comfortable.

AndiB - I will look to see if I can find a link for the top. It was on clearance and I didn't see it on the website.

Diana - if I go back for the moto, I would try a size down as well. Since I wouldn't be closing it, I may be able to get away with a smaller size.

Chris - I was in Dillard's.

I went back and got 2 and 7 today. Thank you for your kind words.

I will likely keep an eye out for 5, 10, and maybe 13 if they go on sale. I think 10 would get the most wear of those three.

My favorites are 1, 2, 7, 10 and 13 but I'm gravitating towards white with some black or navy for you because I think that really sets off your features.
Also, you look really great. I read your post about the challenges of the menopausal wardrobe and I almost laughed when I opened this and saw how fantastic you actually look.
