ISO: Nude Pantyhose

Reaching out to y'all for recommendations. I haven't worn nude panty hose in years, but have an upcoming need to have a pair available in case of cooler-than-expected weather for my daughter's wedding in a couple of weeks.
My specific requirements are:
1) NO control top
2) A good size range - I'm pretty short (pants inseam of 27-28 in.) and slender ankles, so lots of sheer stockings tend to bag at my ankles.
3) Color - suitable for medium-tones Caucasian complexion.
4) Reinforced toe is fine.
Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.

I like the Nordies house brand.

I buy Donna Karen and Nordstorms brand. One of the two wears better than the other. I can't remember which one it was though.

For last minute stuff or everyday stuff, I like Hanes Silk Reflections, but I usually get control top. I'm pretty sure they have non-control top, too. I get them at Target.

If I want to splurge for an occasion, I go to Wolford. (And I wear fabric gloves to put the hosiery on, so I don't snag it!)

I'm 4'11", for reference.

Nordstrom and Macy's both have non-control top options in various shades. Would thigh highs work?

When we had to wear such things for work back in the 80s, I discovered that I should look for hose marked as "support" (such as Hanes Silk Reflections, as recommended above). They fit better on petite me with slim ankles and lasted longer. I never wore regular hose again as they did that bagging (and snagging) thing. And "support" can come in either control top or not.

For the first time ever, I have started wearing nude tights, about 2 weeks ago. My selection criteria was to make sure they were affordable, and broadly the right colour. Because I haven't worn them before, I struggled with them, but now I am getting used to it. I went for a John Lewis own brand, which I think is UK based only. They are affordable if I only manage to eek out a pair for a couple of wears. I have also chosen 10 denier rather than 15.

I am kind of pleased that I have managed to make a break from thicker black tights.

I have also really enjoyed fishnet nude tights. But I struggle to wear them every day, as they aren't as comfy to wear with flats.

Angie and Sterling, I had no idea Nordstrom has a house brand. That is definitely worth taking a look at!
LBD, thanks for confirming Wolford is a possibilty that won't run too tall. They have a store near me, so I will check them out.
Elpgal, I really don't like the feel of those silicone bands on thigh-highs, so they are a no-go for me.
Suzanne, I agree that support varieties do stay up better, but they have that shiny look that I don't want on such an important occasion.
Jane, thanks for letting me know what you think about the different denier (deniers? - no idea what the plural is!). I gather from the Internet that nude tights are kind of a "thing" in the UK right now due to Kate Middleton wearing them. I would think they'd make a lot of sense in your climate.

I had to buy a pair of nude hose for some event or another recently, and I was sure whoever was monitoring the security cameras at Hudson Bay was either ready to call the police, or was falling off their chair laughing. I have not worn hose in I don't even know how long. Tights sure, but not sheer hose. I swear I picked up every single package in every brand trying to decide between the various options and combinations thereof: control top, non control top, ultra sheer, glossy sheer, semi-sheer, reinforced panty, no panty, no toe, reinforced toe, no waistband, regular waistband, buy 2 get 3rd free, buy one get one for half, 30% off this brand but not that brand, what is beige anyways???? I was acting like I'd never been in a department store before.

Nordstrom RACK's Nordstrom brand ultra sheers. They are about $6. They are labeled control top, and I hate, hate, hate control top so I had to check the label twice because they don't squeeze at all. They just feel like thicker reinforced tops. I am 5' 1" with extremely short legs with chunky thighs and calves but skinny ankles, but I haven't noticed ankle bagging.

Lisa, your shopping story has me in stitches! If you get tired of the day job, you should try comedy writing! Haven't we all done something that crazy in a dept store?
Donna, it sounds like you and I are leg twins! The chunky thigh/slim ankle combo does make fit a challenge. Thanks for the tip about Nordstrom brand control top! And that they are available at the Rack. I never would have given them a second look without your rec.

The Donna Karan line is very low-sheen. It's my fav of the ones mentioned above because it's the only one pale enough for me, but as a bonus they feel great on. Thankfully fairly long-wearing given the price.
