Is anyone else STILL waiting for fall?

It's supposed to be 92° here today and 95° tomorrow and Friday. Ugggghhhh. I have a closet of new fall goodies, my boots are crying to be worn and the only time I've pulled anything out is to take pics for YLF feedback.

Yep- we go almost straight from summer to winter here. I am waiting for our two weeks of fall weather. Today is actually kind of cool, but we are supposed to be back up to 97 Friday.

I am, I am. I still haven't worn my NAS pieces! I've worn one - the sleeveless blouse.
Sigh, summers are too long here. At least it isn't 100.

Our seasons are so mild that I'm just pretending it is fall now - there isn't much temperature difference, but there never will be! This weekend we're supposed to be hit with a heat-wave . . . so, I'll probably "do summer" again then! I know your fruatration though! Can you just change out your handbag to a more cool season one? Or wear more of a fall color? That might help you feel like you're into fall.

chewy, what do you call that, roller-coaster weather? We have that here too. Lately though, its been just plain HOT.

Well, it's about to hit 80-something degrees here. In New England. It was 58 or 60 degrees this morning when I woke up though. Try dressing for this weather, sheesh.

we're in the 70's today but supposed to be back up in the 80's this weekend. I'm trying to be patient because given that I can't actually purchase anything until January, there is no need to rush into my fall wear.

We've been enjoying a lovely fall weather for the last two weeks. I can completely understand the frustration of those who live in warm climates. But, our winters are so cold and so long that I am not in a hurry to pull out the boots and tights. Once I start, I will be wearing them non-stop until April, almost May. So I really wish the warm but breezy last days of summer never end!

We are also having beautiful Fall weather. It has been very cold in the morning and by noon it can be very warm in the sun but we are still talking low to mid 70s. I just love this.

I wait with you....this week we are in the 80's (W.PA)...it's a bit disappointing bc warm weather isn't my favorite. I love the cool, chilly Fall. I'm tired of summer clothes and am ready for multiple layers....I don't miss the South where Fall (or what was considered Fall) was no where in sight this time of year.....

I do appreciate having genuine seasons, so I'm trying to be patient. It's got to show up eventually. The days are getting shorter....so I'm hopeful, lol

Sorry to gloat but Autumn in Seattle is perfect. 60 to 65 degrees at the moment. Sunny, crisp and all my boots, scarves and blazers are coming out to play.

My sincere condolences to those still in a heat wave. Not so fab. Hope it cools down soon

So this reminded me... Yesterday I went to the market and bought things to make a spicey black bean soup (soup is all that sounds good while we're still under the weather), including the usual aromatics: carrots, celery, and onion. And that combination smelled so Fall to me, it was heavenly.
I love fall for more than the fashion...the food! And pumpkin spice lattes, and cider. Mmmm!

It's overcast and only supposed to get up to 85 degrees today. On campus LOTS of girls are wearing jeans tucked into boots and huge chunky sweaters. That's way too hot for me, but I am wearing pants for the first time in I can't remember how long.

I cannot wait for fall to get here. I want to wear sweaters and jackets!

Yup, it was 108 here yesterday, according to last night's news. I took my dog for a run yesterday in the morning and had to stop about 5 times in the shade to let her pant and cool down enough to continue. My son came home from school and told me that two kids had passed out from the heat. I guess it's fairly common too.

Today we're anticipating rain, so it's cooled down to the 80's, but there's 70 percent humidity. Yuck.

Marianna, I promise, it gets much, MUCH better!

Warm and uncomfortably humid here. We haven't had anything close to a crisp fall day although the trees are starting to turn. When the temps and humidity are both in the high 80s-90's, it's suffocating.

I'm with you, Sarah. Cool, crisp weather brings out the comfort food chef in me! I'll whip up pots of chili, Tuscan bean soup or veggie lasagna. Dang, I've worked up an appetite just THINKING about comfort food and all I have to eat for my afternoon snack is an apple! It'll do!

Angie, you gloating rascal! Seattle's weather is very similar to Heidelberg, Germany where I lived for 12 years. NC DOES have gorgeous autumn weather - if it will EVER arrive!

{waving at Angie} Ah....perfect fall weather. Sunny, crisp air. Foggy, chilly mornings with sunshine in the afternoons. I've been wearing my oxfords and cardigans. It's not raining so my leather moto has been coming out to play. I'm enjoying it before the rains come.

Usually I complain about Germany's weather, but it is 60's during the day, 50's at night, a little sun, a little rain. In fact I took a picture for you. Perfect for boots, jackets, and scarf accessories, woohoo!

We have a real early fall weather where I live. Mornings and evenings are cool and it warms up during the day. It was 27C yesterday but it felt pleasantly warm. So far my boots came out 2 or 3 times but I have already packed away all sandals for the next year!

Here in Wisconsin it was in the 70s and sunny today, close to 80 tomorrow. I shouldn't complain but I'd love to wear my new wool jacket sometime soon!
