If I could, I would be beating summer bloody and unconscious with a baseball bat. If that doesn't give a clear indication as to how I'm feeling, I assure you I can go into much more violent detail.

I am kinda having the opposite problem. Atm I have very limited to no fall wardrobe and it was 48 here during the day. We have had several weeks of cold weather (50s mostly) with random days in the 80s and 90s thrown in.

The heat hasn't made me violent yet (Maya, your post made me laugh), but it's like the tiresome coworker who keeps turning up at your office door...*sigh* Back again?! Haven't we gone through this already?!

I do agree that fall fashion is more fun than summer but summer is just all over so wonderful.

We seem to be waffling. It was definitely autumn-y over the weekend: drizzly and cool, but it's been over 80 almost every day this week and over 90 two days. It's looking like 70's tomorrow, though. I wish it would pick one and stick with it. It's too soon to switch out the kid's closets just yet (just because I *know* we're going to have more hot weather) but they need more warmer clothes than they have in their closets at the moment.

I am violent about summer starting around April. It has very few, if any, redeeming qualities.

I am so sick of sleeveless-by-necessity that I could scream.

I'm the other way around. Our summer started very late and was punctuated by very cold days. We really didn't have much truly hot weather, which is surprising because we can usually count on a few of those in July and August. Then, fall kicked in early, though we've had a couple sun breaks. All in all, I feel like I got cheated this year because we really only had a month or so of nice, real summer weather.

You'd think the way I talk that I hate summer. I really don't. For me it means 2 months of vacation, sleeping in late, working on the house, going to my parents' to sail and eat crabs. Mmmm. Lovely. But this summer was 100% irredeemable. Too hot to do anything but wait for fall, which is taking its sweet time.

I'm just tired of feeling limp and sweaty. Tomorrow's high? 97°!

Well it is definitely autumn here in Chicago, which you can tell because the weather is fluctuating wildly between 60s and 80s in the course of a day. The last few days have also brought violent storms with the sky looking very green and ominous -- today we finally have rain instead of just those clouds. I am from the East Coast but when I see the clouds here I start to wonder if there's a tornado coming soon. Just like in the movies, LOL.

Yesterday was jarring; there were dried leaves blowing around in the street, but it was 85 degrees and impossible to wear anything more than a short-sleeved top. Boots, sweaters, hahaha, no.
