Iphone 6plus vs 6

Hello YLF, I am considering a new phone and am wondering if people have a preference for the Iphone 6sPlus vs the Iphone 6s. Has anyone else debated between the two? All and any advice appreciated.

have you tried holding both of them? I have small hands and prefer the 6 for that reason.

I asked this very question a few months ago. I was leaning toward the plus but wanted to hear what others thought. I ended up getting the plus. It doesn't fit in all of my jacket pockets, but it does in most of them. It's kind of like having a super small ipad with you all the time.

ETA: It was handy when I was visiting my mother in the hospital. I was looking up picture of bones and I could see them better on the bigger screen.

THERE IS NO COMPARISON.

6 Plus all the way. I have VERY dainty hands with skinny fingers (my ring fingers are a ring size 4 - you get the idea), and I have never battled with the size of the 6 Plus. Greg has a 6S, and I find it very small. The screen on the 6 Plus is SUBLIME.

I chose the 6 Plus despite having very small hands and I've never been sorry. Angie is so right, the screen is SUBLIME! My DH has the 6 and compered to mine it seems like a little toy phone.

I like the size of 6. Why? Because I like my phone to be small enough to fit anywhere. And also because I have an iPad mini, so if I need to see something on a slightly larger screen, I use the iPad.

That said, I'm eagerly waiting for iPhone 7. I don't know what it will look like; I just know that I WILL buy it!!! I usually update my iPhone every year but didn't get the 6S (I still use iPhone 6).

However, my husband just got the iPhone 5SE - the limited edition phone that's the size of iPhone 5 but has all features of iPhone 6S - and you CANNOT compare the picture clarity at all. His phone's camera takes crystal clear photos in pitch dark!!! And it's faster than my iPhone 6 too.

With iPhones, I'm of the opinion that the LATEST is always best. If you have an iPad or tablet of any sort, get the 6S. If you browse the Internet a lot on your phone and don't have a tablet, the 6S plus is worth it.

I bought the 6 at the end of last year, and then I was sorry I didn't have the larger one. So I let my daughter have the 6 and upgraded to the 6 plus. I am very happy with it -- I find it easier to read the screen. They both take great photos.

Ladies thanks so much for your responses. I have never owned any apple products so input is much appreciated. My DH actually purchased the 6plus for me and I have been reluctant to open it and get it running. I had considered exchanging it or returning it. However your supportive remarks have convinced me to keep it. My DD is getting it all configured and set up and then is giving me a training session :).

I went from an iPhone 4 to a 6 Plus. The difference in size was quite a shock at first, but I love it now. Never mind the fact that my (young) salesman almost bought the 6 Plus for his MOM but even she thought it too large!
My issue was finding a wallet/wristlet to fit the phone for the occasions I didn't want to carry a purse. I found a Stella and Dot tech wallet that has a large enough exterior pocket. The interior compartments aren't ideal for me, but all in all it works. It would probably help if I wasn't like George Costanza.

Thanks Pil. I was worried about the size and the weight. I am coming from an android which is very light and small. You make a great point about it fitting in a small clutch. I love the one you posted!

I got the 6s two months ago and I slightly regret not going to the 6+. I was coming from a dumb phone and I have small hands with permanently curled fingers and a limited grip. Actually, I still worry about holding the 6+. DH has the 6+ and both of us have Otterboxes on our phones which add to their bulk and weight but protect their screens. I might use my phone more if it had a larger screen, but I don't know that it would be such a good thing. . .With his 6+, DH rarely uses his laptop.

I have the 6s because otherwise I wouldn't be able to put it in my pocket. To be honest, I preferred the size of the iPhone 4 (what I had before my current phone). It was slightly more compact. I don't do a lot of reading on my phone, though. If I need a bigger screen, I use an iPad or my laptop.

I did have to give my daughter my favorite Tory Burch iPhone wallet because the new one didn't fit anymore. So that is actually my biggest regret about the phone size.

I have a 5s and am only very slightly thinking of upgrading, but if I do, I'm going with 6plus. My spouse has one and loves it (he switched from a Samsung Galaxy that he was just OK with). I'm not a huge user of my phone for anything (I only have about six apps, never use it for music/videos, hardly even use it as a phone) other than texting, twitter and facebook. So the 5s works for be as a low-end user.

Thanks Nebraskim. I also have a samsung that I am switching from. I do lots of reading as I am often sitting in arenas etc waiting for children. I am also pretty excited about the quality of the camera.

I got used to the weight and size fairly quickly, it isn't even an issue now. Except that it doesn't fit in a pocket so well.

Do you mean the new 6s - the 3d image one ? Or the reg 6plus and 6? I'm confused. I have a 6plus - and although it's big, I could not imagine going back to a smaller phone at this point. It takes great pictures and also is wonderful for reading text. The downside is the relative lack of cases -available in that size. At least right at the moment - as I'm on the hunt for a new one.
