Two of my children are taking a course to certify them as Wilderness First Aid Responders, and lucky me, I got to be the patient so that they could practice patient assessments.

Separately, they each palpated my body starting from the head (neck, collarbone, arms, etc) and each of them, when they got to my abdomen, exclaimed how I had the least space between bottom rib and top of hipbones of anyone they'd examined. Neither of them could get even one hand-span between my ribs and hips.

I knew I was short-waisted, but what an interesting way to have it confirmed!
