What do you think?

I've never done the skinnies with tall boots look. I haven't worn leggings in public since my MOTG days in the early 90s, and the boho-ish tunics I wore then don't feel like me any more.

But I was curious to try the combo before big shirts move off the radar. Today I had a Saturday hospital shift, felt like I could move a bit out of my comfort zone, so I tried it.

Lo and behold! When I looked in the mirror, I didn't see boho, I saw equestrian! Even these ultrasuedey leggings with the weird too-wide thighs -- I think they might actually be intended as jodhpurs! I had to restrain myself from grabbing a tweed blazer and knotting a chain-print scarf around my neck. Maybe next time?

I even got a compliment (on the boots, but I took it for the whole outfit).

So this Gentlewoman has found a way to make leggings fit into her style. (And if I dig back far enough, there WAS a year of riding lessons and pony grooming, so this is less cultural appropriation than my preppy stylings are.)

Should I repeat? Any tweaks or suggestions? Am I fooling myself about the fit of these bottoms?
