Hi all

I wanted to participate in Bijou’s trench challenge but it’s still quite warm here. We are having daytime maximum temperatures of 21-24 C (mid 70s). However, it is much cooler at night. So I cheated and wore a trench tonight for my evening dog walk.

This trench is from ASOS. It’s quite lightweight, so it’s good for my climate. I do have a lovely teal one from Hobbs but it’s a heavier material and it’s still too warm to wear it.

In homage to Mainelady’s Burberry trench I wore my “Burberry” bumbag (I believe Americans call them fanny packs.) It’s actually by Monki (from ASOS) but the pattern is similar to the Burberry pattern.

Now, I suspect most of you wouldn’t be caught dead wearing a bumbag but I find them handy for dog walking when it’s good to be hands free and travel light. I wear mine draped side saddle across my back. It’s easier to access than a backpack because you can just swivel it around to reach into it rather than having to take it off your shoulders. The item description for the bumbag on ASOS was “fashion faux pas becomes fashion hero”. I wonder if others here would agree

Tonight is a big night for Aussies. We had a general election today and, like many, I will be staying up to watch the results. Hope all the Aussies here have a good night. And, to everyone else, have a good weekend
