I bought my first pair of Frye boots today. They are short ones, called Lynn, in gray.
I've often admired Fryes on others but the styles I've tried on in the past didn't fit. I fell in love with this style and color and said, "Oh, I'll try them just for fun," fully expecting they wouldn't fit over my instep or wouldn't fit my foot. Then I'd be spared, as usual, the decision of whether to fork over the bucks for them. To my surprise they fit, and the color is just right for them to be a real workhorse in my wardrobe. They are a good height for tucking in skinny ankle pants through the winter months. And they're a low heel option, which I was looking for.

Shown here with what I wore today: skinny ankle jeans (Charlotte Rail, from Lucky), gray silk blouse (Vince), wine sweater (Eileen Fisher), taupe trench coat (Calvin Klein) and taupe bag (Aunts & Uncles).

Sorry the photos aren't great--I lightened the exposure a lot, but I'm including a stock photo so you can see the boots more clearly.

What do you all think? They are "me,"aren't they? (Or am I hallucinating?) This isn't really a K/R--I'm pretty sure they're staying with me.
