Welcome to 'Marchuary"...-11 degrees celsius this evening!

I could whine and be justified in doing so, but decided tonight that I would look at this as an opportunity to wear one of my favourite 'winter' outifts. How many more chances will I get ...she said through gritted/chattering teeth?

Cashmere sweater from Jcrew, GAP True skinny pants, Max Mara coat...and for a touch of spring - citron clutch

Typically I have worn this outfit with a scarf...but I think I'm preferring the clean lines without a scarf? Do you ladies have a preference? And what are you wearing during this prolonged winter?

Except you look 500% better than I do tonight. I gave up and put my PJs on.

(They ARE light blue...does that make them ensemble worthy???)

Seriously, this is a fab combination. The coat is killer gorgeous and I am jealous. The clutch adds a bit of hope for spring. I like it without the scarf, but in this weather you are justified in wearing the darn thing...and it looks good with it, too.

Well you are forced to use that citron clutch daily because Angie and others are waiting to pounce on it!

Hmm . . . I just washed my overworked ivory parka, preparing to put it away, only to find that I will be wearing it, resentfully, yet again tomorrow, so I am too consumed with envy of your stunning Max Mara coat to comment on the scarf issue! Honestly, you do look fab. Both ways.

ha Deb - I am dreaming of warmer weather! I've got the heated mattress pad warmer turned up to max...I think that's the only way we'll see 85!

Are you back Suz? You must be regretting the efficiency of the Canadian embassy in getting your passport replaced Light blue pjs sounds positively risqué! Keep warm!!!

I think it looks great with or without the scarf. Feeling your cold weather pain, but on the bright side........... my package delivery is supposed to happen tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for weighing in Donna - but I'm intrigued.... what kind of package is arriving for you tomorrow? Perhaps a limo that is going to take you to the airport where you will board a plane for a warmer climate??

Please post photos!!! And keep it under lock and key...or better yet, 'wear' it permanently...easy enough to do with that handy strap!

LOL! Sitting on the balcony (awesome Wifi) listening to the show at the resort next door. I'm bushed from an active day, but the music is just a bit too loud to allow for zzz's. Don't hate me...because it is 28degC in the Carribean!

Love it all. And yes, I prefer it without the scarf. You look beautiful in that icy blue/gray sweater. And that coat with that sweater is such a wonderful and unexpected pairing. Nicely done.

Love it! I like the outfit with the scarf. I like how it echoes the colors in the coat. I know I wouldn't be wearing it without the scarf indoors, either, in Marchuary! (Fun month name you coined there.)

Love the whole outfit but that coat is truly fab.

I woke up at 3:00 and realized the sump pump had been going for some time. It seems that the pipe that was reconnected when it was spring a few weeks ago, had frozen solid. Perhaps we will go straight from Marchuary to summer.

Oooh, that coat! I love it! Such a chic, classy outfit, with a touch of edge. I have a minor preference for the look without the scarf and I think it's because of the pattern on your coat and the cleaner lines.

AM and FC - appreciate your kind comments. Even with the cold I ended up leaving off the scarf. Funny how you can change your mind about accessories. Have to give credit to CBC radio for the Marchuary moniker though

Oh dear Cheryle - hopefully the problem is easily solved! I'm thinking we will need a gov't sponsored program on how to deal with the heat...if it ever warms up!

It's lovely, but lets hope that's the last winter outfit you'll need until next year. I Tomorrow will bring warm weather, sunshine and my Crocus flowers! :-).

It's a great look! (like all of yours ) I really like the indoor version and the outdoor version with the clutch and w/o the scarf is smashing. (Although I think the scarf works too, maybe with a low contrast bag to make it more the focal point).

Love the coat on you. The colors are just beautiful with you hair. I like it with the scarf and also with out . I think with the clutch no scarf though.
