I didn't really want it -- I was going to try on a pair of pants, and I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a try. That's ok, saved the money for another jacket. Ha!

I also haven't had any temptation to try it on, and it's mind boggling because I'm usually all over YLF "endorsed" items! I love it on everyone else but can't imagine it being flattering on me.

Ok now that you brought it up, I am not a big fan of this one. It does look good on some people, but I find the neck part to be strange. The turtleneck part is too big or something, and goes down too far. And sometimes the sleeves look way too tight for the body. But I was not lying to those of you I said it looked fab on, it's just not for me. I can't stand a turtleneck on my neck either. But yah, not jumping on that bandwagon either.

It's interesting to hear the itch-factor on this sweater - it's like we are talking about two different pieces. Clearly we are allergic to different things. I am not at all itchy in the Gap jumper. But everything else I've tried has been torture bar one Zara piece that I am wearing right now. That worked too. We are always learning

I didn't like it either Janet. I tried it on in the store and then also tried on Vicki's when I was her house last week. Both times, I had an immediate dislike for it! It was not only itchy, but the neck comPLETEly swallowed me up - and I also felt like I had just flashbacked to the '80's - and it just wasn't a pretty look!

Denise, I swear I'm starting to run warmer -- but of course our weather has not turned really cold here either, so maybe that's it. I have been enjoying my layered lightweight tops, sweaters, and jackets, but the idea of a really warm, bulky sweater is not appealing to me right now anyway.

A bench where I don't have to wear saggy jeans and an itchy, bulky, oversized turtleneck sounds like heaven-- especially if I can have my vodka martini with two olives. When the bandwagon on the forum gets in full swing, it's sometimes hard not to feel like you are the only one who has a poisoned eye for a forum favorite.

But, having said that, I'm loving both my BR and J Crew striped sweaters. Total sugar eye for those two workhorses this Christmas season.

I like the look on others (flattering light color, cozy, etc.), but I feel a bit itchy and claustrophobic just looking at it.

I think this is a fab sweater on most YLF'ers, but have to admit - I am not even tempted by it because I can just tell it won't look all that great on my plump-ish, hour-glass-ish frame. I'm on the bench for this one.

That said - it *is* a fab sweater, on most people. Just gorgeous. I think maybe this means I'm slowly starting to figure out that certain trends or popular items aren't always the best thing for me.

Is there room for me on this bench? I'll have some red wine too. An over-sized light colored pullover would make me extremely self-conscious about my mid-section. And it's not like I need it to keep warm where I live. I'd be taking it off and on all day. For practical reasons, I need to stick mostly to cardigans.

I have no desire to try it on either, although it looks fab on many ladies here. The shape, neckline, and material are not for me.

That said, I AM planning to knit my own winter cream cabled pullover. But I want it to be more like the one Anna has, and I think I am going to use a cashmere blend.
