I need new glasses

Pls could you help me figure out some new specs?
If I had the money I'd have eye surgery but that will have to wait until the mortgage is paid off and contact lense make me sleepy so glasses will have to do.
I've taken a make up free photo of me with my current glasses as well as a photo without.
I really really don't like my current glasses so I'd love to hear suggestions for different ones.

I would like to see something bold on your face. Here in the Cih we have an affordable place to get glasses they are called Americas Best. We can go in and try on glasses. I usually take pictures of myself with different frames and get friends opinions. Maybe you could do that with us.

Angie's corporette post above hits all the main points: go to a store with a lot of styles, bring a stylish friend who will not be afraid to tell you what doesn't suit you, take some photos--for some reason, it is easier to "see" yourself in a photo, if you have them, wear contacts so you can see yourself in the mirror!
I also recommend dressing up/looking your best when you go to try them on so you are not distracted (me: hmmm, maybe I need highlights...this mascara is too dark...note to self, take care of eyebrows...etc. (these are the thoughts that go through my head when I am supposed to be shopping for specs!) ) Actually the style Angie is wearing in her photo in the corporette post are nice and classic and would look good on you I think.
