I have made a tough decision today...

...to return both green jackets I posted about last week here:

I was thinking of Angie's PPP principle and decided that none of those jackets is a 10 for me. I took both jackets to show my mom because after all colors are very hard to see online and I wanted a second opinion IRL.
I loved the style of the green jacket and it was well made but the color did not excite me enough.
The color of the apple green jacket was fun but it was not the best for my coloring really, it made me look paler that I am.
So after some hard thinking and playing in my closet they both went back
I have decided to be patient, picky and practical here. I am sure my perfect "bright-enough-but-not overwhelmingly-bright" jacket will come along at some point and I don't want to miss it because I have already settled on something "good enough".

So here I am with no bright jacket and more money in my account...at least I have more money for Chicago meet up now!:-)

Good for you, Sveta! I'm sure you'll find one that is worthy to hang next to your other fab jackets. Any new item has a lot to live up to in your closet.

I am sure you will find something great in Chicago, and if you have misgivings about forgoing the green blazer then it's probably early enough in the season to go back for one of them. By the way, youR lipstick in your green blazer thread looks fantastic!

I've returned sooooo much lately and do you know what it feels great!! I'm even returning a top because the hem is the teensiest bit uneven!! There is a replacement on order though! I really hope you find your perfect jacket that makes your heart sing x

You did the right thing. I bought 4 pair of black tall boots to replace an aging pair and kept trying to rationalize each one but none were really it. I finally found the perfect pair and returned all the others so you are right in waiting until the perfect item comes along. It's tough not to, but in the end you will be much hAppier.

Good job, Sveta. Especially considering (if I remember correctly) Angie enthusiastically recommending this--it's so hard to not go with something she blesses! I remember seeing you in those pics and I do agree, those colors are very strong and make you look washed out--which you are not! It's such a winding, meandering learning process, but I am sure you will come upon your Prince Charming of jackets and be so glad you saved the money and closet space for them!

Thank you all for your support and understanding! It was a hard decision but I am glad I made it.
I also decided to explore the option of making a blazer. My mom and I went to a fabric store last night and found green fabric in a color I really liked. It is close to blazer #1 in that thread but it has more blue in it and the color is brighter but not as bright as an apple green, more emerald.
And this is the style I want my mom to made it in, I just love this Jessica's blazer!
