I couldn't wait any longer...

I couldn't wait any longer and then I got to thinking, what the heck am I putting this silly self imposed rule on myself in thei first place... I am referring to saving this floral kimono jacket for warm weather to use as a completer piece with tank tops.. Duh, don't know why I ever put myself in that box???

With coolor temps and rain I was looking for a fun element and this fit the bill. The shorter voluminous sleeves are perfect as they don't get in the way, as I even cooked dinner without removing it.

Day 2 of the lace fedora and this time it was a perfect addition as the light rain began when I was putting groceries in the trunk and bringing them in the house.

I added one with my red trench which I chose because I loved the idea of it with my teal bag...

While I love my knee high boots for winter this lower ankle boot is the perfect finishing touch and I always get that Sassy feeling I am looking for... I think it stems from childhood when my mother indulged me in my first cowboy boots with a heel! Boy did I dance and strut in those!!!! I miss my Mom, Spring and Mother's Day are so hard...

I love your pieces to send the gray's packing...The lace fedora and the floral jacket are just too cute...I am sure whoever you encounter today will smile at the whimsical nature of your outfit...Good for you to get yourself out of a self-imposed no wear until warmer weather plan ..(that sounds like something I would do...smile)
Mother's Day can be difficult for those of us without a mother...I am always glad to get to Monday after and know this is one I won't have to be reminded of all the time...I send you my warmest thoughts...I am sure your Mom smiles every time she notices you in another cute outfit...(and I do believe those who are not with us keep tabs on what we are doing)

Good idea to jump the gun on your original schedule! The kimono is fun and flirty and the red and teal are nice too.

How nice that something as simple as a pair of boots can bring back good memories. I remember how happy my son was when he got his cowboy boots in 2nd grade. He is now 27 and I still have them - does that make me a hoarder ?

Thank you, never know what will trigger missing Mom but gotta say the reason the boot one means so much is because she totally indulged all my fashion choices even though she grew up very affluent and dressed so proper as a child herself. I marvel at how many rules she threw out the window and celebrated my spunky wilder nature.
