OK ladies, I am back to comment in more length. Fist of all, I would like to thank you all so much for such response and so many cool ideas! I read them all, and like them all, and it is going to take quite some time to test them and distill all of this information down.
Inge, you are absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for all the work and time you put in finding all those pins. Then outfits are gorgeous, and I may be able to try some of them, especially the summer appropriate ones. You rock!
Windchime, thank you, those are all excellent ideas! I really like the thought to use drapey tops with pencil skirt, as that would dress the skirt down for a casual office.
Anne, you have great memory, thank you for digging that post up! I remember it well and will certainly try something like that.
Unfrumped, for someone who claims doesn't know trends, you have plenty of awesome fashion forward suggestions I especially like that of safari jackets. I don't think that bombers are passe at all, actually, I believe they are really trending at the moment.
Joy, boxy cropped tops and luxe tees and sweatshirts sound amazing, thank you! I will make sure to try them.
Brooklyn, your ideas are so cool and fun and much appreciated. Your outfits are stunning. I think the tops you propose will work especially well with tube skirts, pencil skirts first cousins
Rachy, since my future business casual office turned to be very casual - some people were wearing ripped jeans and hoodies - I think that drapey tees and cropped sweatshirts would work very well, and the suggestions are much appreciated,
CocoC, all those tops sound perfect, thank you very much for your input!
Natalie, your skirt outfits are all lovely and provide a wealth of inspiration, thank you for posting them!
Staysfit, now there is a way to simplify things! Great way of thinking.
Sterling and Suz, I am glad you are enjoying the post. Brooklyn is indeed fabulous.
Angie, can you believe all the amazing suggestions I have received?! The ladies of YLF are uber-fab. If you were to pick three types of tops recommended here most suited to my body type, which would those be?
UmmLila, I agree that is an amazing outfit. I do not own a pastel blazer, but I could try something similar with a pastel moto.
Roxanna, I remember that outfit too and even wore it occasionally in my free time. Thank you for reminding me of it and I will make sure to try it at work too.
Sihaya, that sounds so interesting! I hope you post a photo because I can't wait to see it.
