Too much shopping for *wants* vs. *needs* of which there are very few:
For years, I've wanted/needed a S/S dress that might be okay for work but was still casual enough for sandals. After reading Angie's posts about BBQ early Spring purchasing and the difficulty of finding dresses, I broke down and bought one full price -- which meant I didn't have to pay extra for having the lined thing hemmed! Yay!
I'm going to Chicago in May, and wanted sneaker walking shoes that don't look like walking shoes so I bought very shiny silver flatform sneakers. I'm not sure that they will be comfortable enough or that they are capable of being broken in. The more conventional silver sneakers that I also ordered didn't sing to me in the same way. . .
After Angie blogged that in past years she never wore sandals because her toes/feet got too cold, it occurred to me that maybe I shouldn't buy any more sandals because my Raynaud's ridden toes probably run colder than even hers. But I bought a cute but cheap ($48) pair of Topshop sandals anyway, but what will get a lot of wear are my new luggage colored mary jane sandal clogs because they will keep my toes warm.
I need another summer bag, and have a yellow one (and dark green one if truth be told) on the way. I'm very picky so am not predicting whether it will stay.
I bought a mid-denim jeans skirt; pretty sure I will keep it. I like the color. It's only 18" long; I'm 5' 1" so it hits maybe 3" above the knee. I also tried a black one, but that was 17.5" and for whatever reason it was OTT short to me.
I hacked off two pairs of baby bootcuts, and I hope to pick them up from hemming on Friday or Monday. I'm REALLY excited about this refresh! I wore those jeans but always felt the width was neither here nor there; seems they were made to be cropped flairs, a trend I would have never otherwise have tried.
