Angie asked me to post how I style Le Smoking because it's my go to event outfit which does not include dancing. I really like to start with my VB scuba jacket and pants or leggings becaue they are so sleek. I wear the jacket closed with the arianne black jaquard and lace camisole. I often play totally against type with footwear. The pumps and rockstuds are usually too expected. I actually really like the coax booties. The photos do not do them justice, there is almost a subtle metallic sheen to the leather but the heel and toe is very reminiscent of the boots men would wear for paso doble. They are powerful, sleek and insanely comfortable but add height and most importantly unexpected. I would usually wear a clutch - the KS Emma clutch, McQ or RM qulited love (the regular quilted not the chevron - as close to the Chanel boy bag as I will get). I do swap it up with the A&O arminda blouse, the RT luna in both black or white lace, the JCrew ruffled tank in gray or white also works well. I do have black pumps and rockstuds that I've worn. But I like it best and wear it most as above. I do have the equipment tux jacket, HL gala cropped tux jacket usually wear with the Theory Daverin dress or similar, or the HL crux jacket for a less traditional riff.
