We just had the most wonderful trip out east to Nova Scotia, a place I have long suspected and now confirmed is my spiritual home. The vibe is unpretentious, relaxed, friendly, understated, and historical. The food was fantastic, the views made my heart sing! Even the brightest colors were softened by the passage of time or the gray-blue of water and sky. The street style in Halifax captured all the qualities I've listed ... Lots of neutrals, casual pieces, little makeup or done-up hair, and only the subtlest interpretation of trends. This uber-simple outfit from today captures the mood as I felt it and is a happiness factor 10, even though there's nothing to it! Have a gorgeous day everyone
