Hermes pendant, sort of

Some of you may recall my post about the Hermes pendant I fell in love with. Well, it turned out I that just couldn't deal with the price, so I found an artist on Etsy to make something similar for me. She couldn't copy the Hermes design because of course it's copyrighted, so I got to make my own instead. It's an abstract rendering of my family members' first initials.

I am happy with the way it turned out for the most part, but I'm a bit disappointed that it's so dark, since I can pretty much only wear it with white, but oh well. Also, I'll be changing the cord to a much nicer silk version.

ETA: #3 shows the original.

Love it! Would you mind sharing the artist with us? I'd love to do something similar. But if you'd rather keep this look for yourself as an original I completely understand.

Wow! How unique and beautiful! I think it would show up nicely on other colored tops besides white. I'm already thinking of green, red and mid-tone blues.

Wow, the "inspired by" came out really well, and for a fraction of the price -- personalizing it was a great touch!

I agree with AJ re colors; I don't think you need to limit it to white at all.

Before I read the text I looked at the pictures and I prefer #1 and #2. Those are yours, right? I like the design better and natural materials. What kind of material is it made of (looks like tortoise shell)?

Honestly I like yours better than the Hermes one. It is definitely unique and I think you will find out that you can wear it with more than white tops.

Thanks! I was a little down about the color yesterday, but today I tried it with a lot of my things and you're right--I can wear it with quite a few different colors. I've decided I love it, and I'm not sure how I ever lived without a necklace half the size of my head.
