I'm very late, but I swear the hairspray trick totally works. It works on dry fabric, but I'm not sure if it works after having already washed/laundered and stain-treated...but wait til the item is dry.
You need a good, old-fashioned hairspray - something like AquaNet or along those lines - something from the grocery store or drugstore. It *does* work, so don't despair. The only thing I'm not certain of is if this trick works for items that you've already tried washing/stain-removing efforts on.
I've gotten ink on pristine white shirts and the hairspray trick works every single time. Spray on dry fabric, blot, spray some more...keep spraying and blotting. Then rinse the spot and let air dry.
Here's hoping it's not too late and the hairspray trick will still work!
eta: just read your latest post and I'm so sorry to read that there is already a lightening going on from attempts to remove the stain. Ack! Not sure what to suggest here, but in the future - if this ever happens to you again - immediately apply lots of old-fashioned hairspray and blot. It really does work.
