I went to the Bristol Renaissance Faire last weekend, while visiting my sister in Chicago. I only brought a carry-on, so I had to cobble together my gypsy-ish, pirate-ish costume with my everyday muggles clothes.

I originally intended to wear my pretty espadrilles, but we had surprise downpours, so I popped into a local Goodwill and found these booties. They were super comfortable and very cushiony, along the lines of Sofft or Born. The quality was very good.

I’d love to know who makes these shoes. There is no materials or origin stamp inside, or on the soles. I’m pretty sure the shoes are fully man-made materials.

My original thought was to donate them back, but I wore these all day with no issues.

#5-11 are of us at the festival. It was my first time axe-throwing. It took five tries for the axe to stick. It was a lot of fun, and strangely therapeutic. #12 are the original espadrilles that I didn't wear.
