I like both, but 1 is more unique and seems to have more personality.

This is tough because you wear both really well Greg. I like #2 a bit more because the frame is a bit "chunkier" and that appeals to the geek chic lover in me.

I don't feel you can go wrong with either - they both look great. If they are both equal from a comfort perspective I would go with 2 as I find it a smidge more appealing. But, it could also be the lighting. So, no help here

WOW. It's neck and neck.

My vote is for the second pair because I can't quite shake the Harry Potter vibe from my mind with the first pair. But, hey, there's nothing like channelling your inner boy wizard...

#1 look better on your face, #2 are more modern. I vote #1.

I much prefer #2.

How fun that you let us in on the shopping!

Our votes:
Hubby - #1
Me - #2
DD (10 yrs. old) - #2

They are both so close, so you can't go wrong with either one. YLF!

Walt and I both like #1 the best...it works really well with your eyebrows whereas #2 seems to obscure them. Just our quick reaction, probably either would work great for you.

Hmm, I definitely prefer #1. The two are very similar, but #2 seems to be MORE of #1 (and a little "droopier" in the bottom of the lenses), and I'm not sure that's a good thing. I am also with CocoLion in that the lenses look more yellow in the second picture, and I cannot tell whether that is intentional or just a function of the lighting.

Just asked hubs (who is extremely picky about his own glasses) and he prefers #2. He thinks they look a bit more "arty" and modern.

This is so much fun. Thanks for all the input.

There is no intentional yellow in the lenses for #2. Somehow we set a filter by mistake when we were taking the photos and they both have a yellow cast.

Are you going to put us out of our misery soon and let us know which pair you're leaning toward?

I prefer number 2, I think the shape is a better fit but it really depends on which one is more comfortable and lighter weight if that is a deciding factor for you.
Let us know which one you decide on.

WOW. I can't believe how close it is. Neck and neck. We'll tell you tomorrow which style we prefer.

I vote #2 by a hair. It probably depends on what style you want. The first pair to me reads a little retro.

I love #2! The suit your features to a T.

I vote #2. Now I really want to see what the "right" answer is!

My first response was #2. They look very current to me.
But I'm also drawn to #1, especially once you said they are black and brown. I like the relative lightness of them. But I think I went with #2 because round frames are a definite statement. They are iconoclast glasses. John Lennon, Iris Apfel, George Burns.

And you look great in both! Tough decision.

eta: I think I may have misused iconoclast. I meant individual, distinctive, nonconformist. (Not anything negative; the dictionary seems to imply a somewhat negative connotation.)

Really hard to choose but I would say #1 by a little bit over #2.

Oh wow, this is hard. #1 is quirkier and more retro, #2 more modern. But which do I prefer? #2. No, wait. #1 - I like quirky. Wait again, #2 - I like modern. Oh I just don't know! Ok I'm going with #2 (give me a minute and I'll probably switch again).

Like the proportions of 2 for you best, Greg. They are both great frames. Happy decision!

Oh, how fun to see Greg posting a fashion question!

Soo, so tough to choose, but I have ever-so-slight preference for #2.

I prefer #2 for a more sophisticated note to match your very sophisticated and lovely wife

My first instinct was definitely #2 but, looking again, I could go either way.

I prefer #2! Clearly there is no consensus so you can't go wrong!

My vote goes to #2.

I like the second pair!

#2 because I think the slight uplift at corners is flattering. You could do either though really.
