Christina, OH MY WORD! Maybe I need to chop it all off....

Also known as the "I want to speak to your manager" haircut, lol. Hers is exaggerated though My daughter sent me that one a few years ago and it freaked me right out. Gotta watch the too-short top and overly long bang business ! When she/daughter is teasing /exasperated with me , she answers my questions with "yes, Lisa?" . (aka, Karen).

Angie is definitely not a Karen
Anyways, you now have a far amount of ideas

Just don't go around asking for the manager and you should be fine, Angie!

Angie, you would look fab no matter which cut you choose. I like #7 best of the pictured styles. But how about something retro like this?

Hi Angie,

I think I'm in the same boat but have decided to grow my hair out a bit before make the cutting plunge, I personally like #7 and #8, slightly edgy but can straighten it if you want.

... and if you change your mind, there's always this

I am taking all 3 to my hairdresser next month. Although my hair is now long enough for the Mia Farrow's do, I still gravitate towards # 2 more, which I how I found this forum in the first place

Have fun and let us know what you choose !

I don't have much to add, since I'm not an expert in short hair (as you know I got it cut short once &, even then, told the hairdresser to do what he thought would look best lol), but I just wanted to echo that you've got many fab options here @Angie. I'd also like to sympathise with the plight of fine flyaway hair lol - it may not look it, but my hair is both fine & thick (dense rather than each strand being thick). I frequently see many chic women in Hong Kong sporting the K-looks that @Anna linked to, but I agree that you need a certain hair type for it.

I'm attaching my shorter haircut photos here, in case it inspires you to go in the 'longer' direction of short hairstyles. A long short hairstyle, if you will.

LisaP I got the same lecture from my nephew. I have since grown by stacked bob out lol .

If the order gets extended, do as I did: road trip!! Go across the Idaho border. I got my hair cut on Tuesday in Lewiston, about 500 meters into Idaho. Most of the shops and salons are now open there.

Thank you all sooo much for the thoughts and ideas. Really appreciate the effort and time you took to share them!

Things must have been subconsciously brewing because I woke up this morning knowing exactly what I want. You'll have to wait and see

RD, HAH! That's an old pic of me. I'm humbled.

Oh my Gawd, that IS DH's niece. I sent him a screenshot and he said it was, and then I checked back here and saw the comment from Lisa P saying Texas (she models for hair artists in Texas and south Louisiana) then I saw cjh comment with a pic that has the niece's Instagram username and wow, small world LOL
