Our all-too-frequent Memorial Day heat wave is back. I started out with white jeans and this tank and went out to do some watering. Came back in and exchanged jeans for last year's BR skirt. Much more comfortable.
This is an odd color, not quite blue and not quite purple. It's one of 3 I bought from Lands End. I usually wear the skirt with a red, black, or white top. Still cool in the house so put on this BR denim jacket--I think it's from 2 years ago. And my red Clarks, which still aren't too comfy to walk in, but okay for sitting. Skirt isn't as long as it looks in photo, it's 10" from floor.
I haven't worn these DY earrings lately and I don't think I've shown them here. They were a present from a couple of years ago--they are a bit heavy. I use the larger backs on them. Today I'm wondering if I should exchange them. I should twirl them and see which way the stripes look best.
When I was a little girl today was called Decoration Day. My mom would spend the morning cutting peonies, daisies, and lilacs from our yard and then make big bouquets and we'd all pile in the car and head for the cemetery, picking up Grandma on the way. Now everyone is so spread out and far apart--I'm sad this tradition no longer exists in my family.
