Harem pants for fuller curvy figure?

Hello all! I'm still considering everyone's excellent feedback about the flare jeans.

What are your thoughts about harem pants for me? I'm 5'10.5, hourglass with pear tendencies in hips. In the spirit of PG Wodehouse, I'm 5'10 and curvy as an Italian road. :}

This summer, despite loving the Dolce Vita looks/capsule I I carefully planned and purchased, I find myself sorely missing boho again. I'm still not sure if it's 100% flattering on me, but it's very easy for me to wear. The craving for it is so strong, I'm considering these rayon harem pants. They're rayon, so not as drapey as jersey, but drapey nonetheless. (all of my new DV wide leg pants are rayon/viscose and drapey too.)

I tried rayon joggers a couple years ago. They were flattering as long as the top was flattering i.e., no baggy or shapeless tops with them. (Can't find a picture of the outfit, unfortunately.)

I'm curious what you all think. I remember Angie some years ago discussing how track pants are great on Pear types specifically. I feel harem pants could be good.

I agree with PPs. I work with a woman who has a similarly fabulous figure, and harem pants are great on her. I would bet you will also look amazing in them.

Also, on the jeans, after reading your follow-up comments, I think maybe those are not *the* flares for you -- you want something that doesn't feel as constricting/ uncomfortable. I think the style looks amazing on you, though, so it's just a question of waiting for the right pair.

Suz, I really agree with you! It bums me out a little. I feel a bit eager to find a pair soon for this autumn. Then again, don't want to rush finding just the right pair. I'm actually wondering if I should attempt to sew a pair in a heavier jersey or Ponte fabric... It would have more drape and give than denim.

I think these would look great, and now I want some. I have wide hips, and this silhouette is also one of my better ones for pants. They can be boho, but so many other styles, depending how you style it.

Thank you, Carol! I too feel these are pretty good on me. 10-11 years ago, I used to wear a knit jersey harem pant from H&M almost exclusively in the summer months. They are very versatile. I wore them a lot with a button-up shirt knotted at the waist, or various camisoles. These are just ones I found on Amazon. I figured I could try these then upgrade if I love them.
