Happy pleated pants + Angie's shoes

I had to pass on some of my pleated pants and have had a hard time finding replacements that fit right and went with other things.
I got these pinstriped ones from BR even though the waist is not at all high on me, but they were comfortable and had a reasonable drape.
Pic 1 is WIW this week with trusty BR gray blazer
Pic 2 is another version , reverse colors with gray dressy T and Theory white linen jacket.
Shoes are the PG blue suede--I almost did not get because they are different from my fab PG ankle strap (Find 3) and the toebox is not as deep, so they are not AS comfortable; but decided to go ahead due to suede forgiveness. They work with longer pants that have less room for a high ankle strap and of course, navy. I would not duplicate, but they are working well to create specific pants looks and also work with some skirts.
Comments and suggestions welcome.

Those are nice outfits. We are blue suede shoe twins, they feel more comfortable to me than the ankle straps from your find did.
Those pants are very flattering on you. Have you also tried them with shorter or cropped jackets? I think those would work, too.

Haha, Angie, they do not come up to my natural waist. I am very long in stride so most pants billed as " high- waist" are a couple inches below. They probably do slide down a bit though.
The wide- legs below are the only pants I have now that sit on waist.

I don't have much in way of shorter jackets except black; lengths and proportions are always an issue since even with neutrals, not every color complements others and so it's hard to maintain long- med- short in a variety of weights and colors. The Theory jacket is shorter than my usual. I'm not a big cropped wearer except with actual dresses. Si that's one reason I liked the shoe trend with straps to kinda make the ankle or cropped pant legline longer( at least in my imagination!) to balance hip- length jackets. Most of the time spent in these pants is w/o a blazer but with longer labcoat, but I wanted the pants also to function as part of a "complete " outfit for meetings and conferences, so needed to use what I had.

I really like the look and was / am very tempted by the PG shoes. They look great on you, and the blue suede is lovely. Please may I ask how tall you are? I am intrigued by the paper bag pants, as they look lovely on you. I would be concerned that I may not be able to get the proportions right, as I am 5ft 1".

You wear pleated pants so well, unfrumped. I love the ones you are showing here. Especially with that Theory blazer, it makes for a very sharp outfit!

One thing I've been trying to do is to have a bigger selection of " complete" outfits that I feel good in, even if total components are fewer. So trying to pair up tops/ pants /jackets more and not add just randomly. I don't depend on them every day, but I find it helpful to have more good options than I did , to be prepared in case, and to keep checking on whether they still work.
Jane, I am about 5'5" ( but could be shrinking!). But I have a long torso, so always subject to short- leg look.
