What I wore to welcome in the New Year. We had a quiet dinner at home with my best friend and her husband and son. Great company and food made for a fab New Years Eve. Margot loved being in the action too.

I wore sandals during the day and initially (photo 1) but my friend loves my crazy boots and made me change my shoes (photo2), looking a bit dishevelled because the photo is at end of the night past midnight.
Photo 3 is Margot and photo 4 to make you laugh.

Those boots are terrific - I can see why your friend made you change into them, what a perfect match for your outfit colours! Are they constructed like sock boots or printed sheer hose stretched over pumps? Do you have more/ closeup photos of them?

Suz - Margot is so lovely and had perfect manners at the dinner party.

Zaeobi - the boots are in Finds (now added) - they are fabric and are like a pump construction, with additional fabric that goes up the leg. Velvet PJs sound like very glamorous loungewear to me, a perfect way to see in 2022.

Nikki - I love the Grease vs Pulp Fiction reference too!

Slim Cat - Margot got a new tartan collar for Christmas and so is looking super cute at the moment.

Brooklyn - Margot is almost toy like because she is a small westie and loves cuddles. Bijou was big, beautiful and highly energetic and loved to play.

KKards - I need to wear these boots more often as they are fun.

Avicennia - A friend sent me the meme in #4, it is fun as it really captures how we are feeling leaving 2021.

Angie - Thank you so much. A K2K is the best way for Margot and I to start the New Year. Not that Margot needs a jumper - but perhaps it may get cold in the dead of winter to wear this jumper that Santa brought her for Christmas.

Ooh your friend has a good eye - those boots are a perfect match for your look!

I've always wondered about the 'sock pump' (rather than sock boots) - are they easy to walk in with the fabric stretched all the way over the shoe like that? Probably not an issue for a home dinner lol, I'm just curious

(That looked crazy as I typed it). Happy New Year! Seriously, I love love love your NYE outfit so much! The boots make that fabulous outfit 1000% more amazing. But none of that can compete with Margot. She's the scene-stealer.

Zaeobi - the boots are more comfortable and easier to wear than pumps. I would not walk great distances in them, because the heels are still stiletto like and quite high for me.

Mainlady - I love your concept of 'happiness factors' these boots fall into that category for me.

Marybeth - Margot is just so pretty and looks like this every day!

Firecracker - the scarf is a favourite... just when I think I have enough scarves, another one sneaks in!
