I remember stumbling across YLF almost a dozen years ago when I was wondering how to morph a professional wardrobe into a more casual, retirement style. Angie’s fool-proof formulas for MOTG (in my case Retired-Person-On-The-Go!) was pinned to my closet wall and I never looked back: https://youlookfab.com/2009/10.....on-the-go/
So, thanks, Angie, for a decade of holding my hand as I navigated fashion trends and for gently nudging away at my biases by teaching me how to wear slouchy pants in a way that felt truly my own.
And a big thank-you to Greg, Inge, Sam—and Rosie and Jasmine on their fluffy cloud—for all the behind the scenes assistance you’ve given this website for the last 15 years. And, finally, another big thank you to all the wonderful women I’ve “met” on the forum—you’ve been a tremendous influence on my life as you’ve taught me so much about how a love of fashion can bring people together.
This site has been a constant in my life for more than a decade. Thank you for your commitment and devotion to making it the place it is. And happy anniversary!
Happy 15th Anniversary! What an achievement over good and hard times, in a changing and often fickle online world to have created a special fun kind and of course stylish corner.
I would love to join in a celebration when we can!
Happy anniversary indeed to all ,to those who made it happen and to those who contribute everyday to this very special corner of the internet. Bless you all .
Happy anniversary and *thank you* for your deep well of generosity, kindness, openheartedness, cheerful energy, and yes, fashion know-how, sense, and savvy! You have an indomitable spirit, Angie Cox. Thank you and Greg, Inge, Sam, Rosie, and Jasmine for this wonderful place.
Suntiger, I am hoping that a Sweet Sixteen meetup (or maybe multiple meetups) will be possible for many of us, and anybody who wants to be on the committee can join! Those meetups are so much fun, and (for me, at least) unexpectedly moving. I'm guessing we'll feel even more moved, the next time we meet. It has become so precious to see people in person.
Happy anniversary YLF! And well done Suz. I sense the optimism growing here with the vaccine roll out. Hopefully that will make sweet 16 all the sweeter.
