Thanks all!
My family has quite the bday weekend planned for me. Around here, bday celebrations seem to go on and on.... I think that's what you get when you share custody. The kids got used to celebrating their bday's twice, once at dad's, once at mom's... so they like to spread things out and celebrate over a few days instead of just a single day.
Last night they surprised me by taking me to see Julie & Julia, which I wanted to see (I'm a huge Meryl Streep AND Julia Child fan). It was a surprise because they wouldn't tell me where we were going, until we got there.
Today DD16 is cleaning the house for me. I am planning to get out to the mall soon - going to take a closer look at those Bebe leather jackets. Then later we're going to see Blondie & Pat Benatar in concert. DD's boyfriend is coming with us, and it's his very first concert. Though I don't think he's necessarily an 80s pop fan, he is so excited!
Tomorrow, my actual birthday, I don't know what is planned... some other surprise my DH has up his sleeve! He's not talking.
The only downside is my DD15 isn't here to celebrate with us. She's visiting my parents this week (along with her best friend, her cousin, and two of his 15-year old friends... my parents are crazy... five 15-year-olds for a whole week???). She isn't back until Monday, but I'm glad she's having a great time!
