Hello.

Here are the Halogen Ponte Knit Kick Flare Leg Pants from this post . I am wondering about the length.

I cannot show photos of how they would look with the seam let out to make the hem longer, but there's plenty of fabric to do it. I'm leaning towards making them longer so that they will be more classic.

But there's another option, shorten them. I can show photos of how they would look shortened. I know the kick flare leg are on trend, but that's my concern. These are going to be for my business capsule. I am usually conservative with work clothes since they are not worn often and I don't replenish it often. Is a cropped kick flare pant a classic look?

None of these outfits are styled, I'm merely showing light colored footwear so it provides contrast for the photos with both a heeled and flat footwear option.

#1 to #4 - Current Length
The current length. It's very close to full length. I'm guessing if the hem was let out half an inch (or maybe an inch?) these would become full length?

#5 to #8 - One Fold Shorter
One fold up brings the hem shorter, but still provides good leg coverage with the booties.

#9 to #12 - Two Folds Shorter
Two folds up brings out the kick flare hem more and makes these pants look more on trend and closer to the stock photo. It also makes me look short. I will not be wearing these pants with matching dark footwear. My booties options are ivory and wine (see finds). This short length also places the pants at almost at the top of the booties which feels drafty without a knee high sock for warmth on the leg.

What are your thoughts?

  • Let out the hem
  • Keep current length
  • Shorten one fold
  • Shorten two folds
  • Look for something less trendy

Thanks for your feedback!
