Another vote for your style in #4. Also, I think with short hair, the right earrings can help add modern edge.

I met with a friend that I hadn’t seen since covid started. Her straight hair was cut in an asymmetric pixie. The cut was fantastic and looked very modern and not dated at all. I immediately tried to figure out a way for the cut to work with my wavy but not reliably curly hair. I think there are cuts that always have a “cool girl” look. I also think it is likely we will see more asymmetric cuts in the future and you are ahead of the curve.

I like 3 and 4 the best. Both have a bit of edge and really flatter you. I like Runcarla's idea, too, which would work with 4.

Love the edge asymmetric cuts provide, you totally suit that look and I think what Jaimie suggested might be a comfortable update, soft yet modern.

Roxanna, what about Halle's variation on an asymmetrical curly cut? This is from 2023 (February).

@SarahD8 and others - what a great insight about what I wear affecting my hair and vice versa. As you said, I do wear a lot of lux thrift and have been gravitating even more that way because it's the only place I can find the quality I want at a price point I am willing to pay. But this means my look skews more classic, and the bob I have is making it feel dowdy (as

MizBeeWee said.) I think going with a stark asymmetrical will give me the structure and edge i am looking for, and then I can grow it out to #4 when I need a change (it's not hard to grow out a little bit like that.)

Chiming in to add support re asymmetry . #5 is frowzy and not at all how i imagine you to be—full of pizzaz and energy. #6 seems too much work and the most dated to my eye.

Halle berry’s softer cut may work. How do you think that cut would play with your degree of curl?
