I bought these leather high-tops the other day on a bit of a whim

having been looking for something completely different, but they caught my eye , reminding me of Angie's lined Converse from last year. I don't even gravitate toward the UGG displays in stores, but again, the design elements , the price and the outstanding quality was too tempting to pass up. Tried them on and I was hooked. I wore them to job #2 today for an 8 hour shift on my feet, and they were/are outstanding in terms of comfort. SO soft, yet supportive and with great insoles. Probably the single most comfortable pair of footwear I've ever owned. I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to style them, and the resulting outfit came together around the cinnamon t shirt I wanted to wear ( a sample from a line I sell) and my new favourite bamboo fleece long coat/cardigan (same line as t-shirt) . Thought the faux leather jeans would be fun to wear, but I didn't end up loving them with the shoes = too aggressive a look for my comfort zone. The leather pants need a more feminine boot/shoe , and the UGG sneakers need a more feminine or less in-your-face pant. I made it through the 8 hours, but won't be repeating this one again. I did love how this JCrew necklace worked with the t-shirt though - a happy little experiment with a piece I rarely wear . Last thought - I love the little bit of drama and sophistication that a long cardigan delivers , and definitely will be wearing them as often as I can. They just have that extra bit of something that a shorter cardigan/jacket doesn't.

coat/cardigan - LNBF (bamboo and cotton french terry)
dolman sleeve t-shirt - LNBF (bamboo)
faux leather BF jeans - Sandwich (couple of years old and now fit so much better - yay)
lucite and ribbon necklace - JCrew (3 years old?)
leather high tops - UGG

I liked experimenting , too, with makeup to work with the cinnamon coloured t. Used Chanel Adrienne lipstick , Physician's Formula bronzer powder , Urban Decay brown eyeliner and Stila bronze eye shadows to create warmth against my ashy hair.

Thanks for having a look - and all jokes, comments and ideas are most welcome as always. I'd appreciate any styling ideas for the high-tops , too, that don't veer too far into tomboy territory.
