WIW Gray is OK

Gray is one of those colors with which I have a love-hate relationship. Near my face, it makes me look like I need a nap and an iron supplement. On the other hand, I really like gray bottoms and footwear. I have been patiently waiting for the weather to cool a bit so I can wear my Marks and Spencer gray balloon jeans. Sorry for the wrinkled appearance of the jeans but I had been sitting during a long Teams meeting.The lighter gray sweater with warm toned striping and darker gray booties make a column of color with a slightly unexpected twist.

I feel the same as you do about grey! But you have the perfect solution there. The warmer toned striping in the sweater does the job. The sweater colors are really great with your skin tones and you look radiant.

I love this outfit. I am only getting into greys recently, since my silver hair is growing out. Now I want balloon jeans. YLF!

Pretty combo! I find grey problematic too, but it's definitely useful. Charcoal is doable, and Kettlewell has one called Mole that's listed for Autumn that could be worth a try.

There is a warm grey with more yellow in it that may work for you as well. I don’t know what it would be called, so searching for it would be trial and error.

Great outfit! The sweater is very flattering on, and jeans are fun.

My coloring is cool, so grey works for me in pretty much all the shades. Back in late '90s/minimalism time, I'd say 80% of my clothes were some tone of grey. These days I wear it in moderate amounts -it takes a backseat to navy and black in my wardrobe at the moment. If t some point in the future it starts trending again the way earth tones have been in the last couple of years, I will definitely increase its amount in my wardrobe.

That's a smart way of using a color when it doesn't work close to the face. I have to do that with warm colors that make me look pale/sick. I like that outfit on you.

I love the combo of pinks and greys. Very 80s (in a good way). And I have those same jeans (in the green!).

Ha, your description of what gray does to you made me laugh because I feel the same way! I love it but it does not love me back, particularly light gray. I deal with it usually by wearing something colorful near my face on gray days, like fuchsia earrings or a necklace or something...
