Going Bold...

well bold for me. Here's what I wore for date night - mustard skinny cords(joe Fresh),
cream raglan sleeved turtleneck (Joe Fresh) leopard flats (BR), cognac leather jacket (Danier) and multi-coloured clutch ("borrowed" from DD's closet)

Does it work? Comments, suggestions appreciated!

And my toze were not froze! Last night was fairly mild -and no discomfort whatsoever.
I am in a bit of a quandry as to what to wear on my feet for these bold mustard pants. I feel black booties are too high contrast, and my caramel coloured ones seem to clash - at least to my eye. Seems I have a wardrobe hole that needs filling...
And am curious Angie - what about cords brings on your posion eye? Is it the vertical lines?

Taupe booties would look nice with these cords too.

Merwomen, skinny cords at least look more feminine than bootcuts. And it's not that I don't like masculine inspired clothing - you know I do. Bootcut cords - the fabric, the cut, the bagging, the patches on the knees, the way they wear, the vertical lines, the way they are thought of as a step up from jeans blows my mind - all these things read unattractive to my eye. Frumpy even. On both men and women. I like cords on kids though. They look delightful in cord anything.

I don't mind cord skinnies as long as the wale is VERY fine - and there is less cord fabric in a skinny style than in a boot cut style! I much prefer velveteen (cord sans the wale). Cord skirts and jackets are okay as long as the wale is minute.

Does that make any sense at all? It's a very subjective thing of course

Makes perfect sense Angie - I too love a very fine wale that approaches velvet, love the texture and feeling on my skin, especially in winter.
