I was racking my brain for a birthday present for my big sis. She mentioned she hates spending money on shoes, so I started thinking in that direction. She is pretty conservative, so booties were out, but I wanted to pick out something up-to-date. AJ modeled some really cute boots from Nordies here that came up again recently in Tarzy's boot thread. Here is her review. She usually will barely even tell me if she likes something, so I am taking this as a complete rave.

"Thanks for the boots! They are very cute. I tried them on right away. [DH] thought my outfit was an embarrassment, but I thought I looked like a peppy cowgirl. His reticence may have been because we're resealing the basement and I was also wearing some paint-spattered running shorts and a men's XL [midwest team] football shirt, which I guess he felt was not a boot ensemble; he lacks imagination. It's supposed to be in the 60s next week, so maybe I can finally bust out the skirts + tights + boots outfits in style.
