I don't own genie pants, but these joggers might substitute. I also do not wear sandals but used gold loafers. The top is semi-tucked, but jacket is cropped. How do you like this outfit?
( I do not think it qualifies as a " genie in the bottle" outfit.

Mmm, no, I won't call it genie in a bottle. I'd call it well executed utility pretty. Love the shape of the jacket with the trousers, and the shimmer of pearls and loafers. Love the look.

Nice outfit! That's what I've got too - joggers. With a tuxedo stripe, which makes genie even more a stretch. I'm thinking I need a halter and curl tip shoes... but that would be too literal. Lol. I need to look at the pictures again...

Rachy, I have curl toe shoes, but no genie pants, or even joggers.

I don't have joggers or genie pants, but you look great in these! Your layered jewelry ups the ante on this outfit. And the jacket really elevates what are a pretty casual bottom. I love the juxtaposition. well executed.

I like the outfit, Joy! To me, the jacket doesn't look cropped, but it looks good with the outfit, in any case.

Yes! Utility pretty! I agree with Angie that a more fluid top might work better, but the color of this one is SO pretty with the muted neutrals of your jogger and jacket. I really like the subtlety of the combination.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. The jacket a is an EF thrift store find. Angie, I will try a more fluid top and I know it will be even more utility pretty, but that is fine. Most of the bracelets were my mother's, so it is fun and sentimental to wear them.
JAileen, thank you for the hair notice. I tried parting it in the middle the way I wore it in the 60's.

Sterling, it is longer than normal and parted differently. Thank you for the compliment. DH took me out to eat for my birthday a few days early, so I wanted it more like he remembered it from nearly 50 years ago. LOL! Of course then it was dark brown with reddish highlights. Maybe I should have dyed it too

Thank you, Dianna. It would take a lot of convincing to get me to start dying my hair now. I'm too lazy and too cheap. Plus I rather enjoy being a silver fox. And I live in an area where the majority of the older women are natural silvers. But whenever I see someone as old or older than I am looking do much younger in dyed hair, I do consider it... for a few seconds.

SO. I have dyed my hair for so long I no longer have a clue what my natural color is. I have ranged from light brown to black brown to red. My favorite was the black brown because it was so dramatic to my eye.

We went on a trip out west right before I was supposed to have my hair dyed. I opted against it because why dye your hair and then wear a hat for the next three weeks. It made no sense. I planned on having it dyed immediately upon my return, BUT I wore myself down, compromised my immune system, and got really sick for two weeks. So I missed my appointment.

My "real" hair started to grow in. Evidently it is a mixture of silver and medium brown. So far everything blends and it looks intentional. My stylist says that when there is a clear line of demarcation, I'll hate it. So far I don't. BUT I cannot tell you the shock I experience every single time I get out of the shower. It is like I don't recognize myself for a minute.

I am considering letting it go natural because I too have become cheap and lazy.

Thistle, the happiness factor was high with this outfit. Utility Pretty may be next on my style journey. It appeals to both my need for dressy and to a casual life style.
