Good morning my beautiful YLFers and welcome to Fuchsia Friday! Sona had this great idea to wear fuchsia today and several of you piped up that you'd like to participate.

So let's see what you're wearing (clothing, accessory, handbag, shoes....) that shows your love for fuchsia (or any other shade of pink).

I'll start - my sweater is more of a berry colour than a true fuchsia but I figured it would work anyway.

So far, I see that fuchsia is an amazingly flattering colour! But then, I would say that, wouldn't I?

Okay...here you go with the outtakes...this is my FUCHSIA FAIL. I am going to start a new thread for some help with this one -- I have an event to attend this afternoon!

You all look good (although Suz I'm going to your other thread for some help). I missed this ahead. I have more fuchsia in summer, but I think I have a turtleneck somewhere.

Okay here is mine. I thought this looked dreadful at the time and was pleased that I actually kept my trench on the whole time. but now I think the front view is okay, though the side could be better - I find this top too short - I'd feel much more comfortable if it was long enough to wear leggings and I think that could weigh down the floatiness too

Not liking that trench much now since I have lost the waist tie.

Love the outfit. Purple and berry play very nicely together with gray. I really love the clutch.

I am in the berry and blue categories with my coat and hat.

Anne - that is one fantastic tunic! I think it looks great on you.

Day Vies - oh yeah baby! That coat is beautiful (that's two for fuchsia/berry coats now...). Adore the hat too.

Suz - I think it's all in the shade don't you? It definitely seems to work on most people.

I love everyone's fuschia outfits! I think my sweater is more pink than fuschia but it's the closest I have. BTW, after seeing this picture I fixed my scarf so it doesn't look so goofy.

Transcona Shannon - Great sweater! It's a very flattering shape and color.
Anne - I love that tunic - it's so unique!
Day Vies - The hat is great!
Emily - The pink belt is a great pop of color.
Lisa - The light brown boots look great with the pink shirt.

Sara - love that colour of pink with the grey bottoms. Gorgeous colour pairing! And with the colour of your boots matching your pants, your leg line is looooooooong!

I have a hectic schedule and will try to pop in to comment on everyone's looks but plan to do a more through commentary this evening.

Loving the pops of fuchsia/pink. Wonderful brights that seem to go with every complexion whether as an accesory or a more substantial garment piece.

Shannon, I love your fuchsia cardi with charcoal. That gives me ideas! I might have to dig through my summer clothes to find that *one* fuchsia shirt. If I ever get dressed....

I'm just back from my run and about to shower and fuchsia up! Does it already count that my running shoes have fuchsia laces?
I may have to cop out and do simple white jeans with my fuchsia top - it's still pretty warm.

I am wearing a pink handknit hoodie (under a jacket, Ines style), fuchsia knee socks, and a (different shade of) fuchsia scarf. Oh, and fuchsia bracelet and watch. It might be kind of hectic and clashy... but it's fun and I am warm. (It's freezing today, so I had to nix my original plan which involved a skirt). Will add photos tonight when I get home.

@cinnamon fern and DayVies: fuchsia is an amazing color for a jacket/coat! loving it. what a great pick me up on grey days.

@TS: your berry jacket is just the right pop to your outfit. love!!

@Lisa: that fuchsia underlayer works fab with the other colors you brought out to play. inpiration!!!

@Anne: I want to come steal that gorgeous fuchsia/magenta and black top. fab find. where did you get it if I may ask?

@SaraL: ditto what TSs aid. lovinh the long line and the pink with grey! The plaid outfits that Angie has shown us this morning the one that most stood out to me wwas a gap shirt with pinks( and blues) and was worn with grey pants. I was blown away by the combo and here you do it so well! fab.

Boy, y'all make fuschia look so easy. I find it a challenge. I got the fuschia pencil skirt I'm wearing today last December, and I haven't been clever enough to wear it as much as I think I should.

I did once have a fabulous silk shirt / linen skirt combo, which is too ladylike for my style now. That outfit of the past was built with the Carribean in mind, a place that can handle bright color.

I think the main thing is, here in No. Cal, is not going the flirty route. It's too gritty here for pretty like that, even tho we're all a bunch of poseurs. Added challenge today is rain. A real storm! I'm actually pretty happy with this combo. Strikes the right note for my office.

I was going to sit this one out: it's just way too cold here today to consider wearing my fuchsia T-shirt. But Emily reminded me I had a fuchsia belt, so I re-arranged my clothes a bit to do the same thing. Although, honestly, I felt better in my original outfit.

Here is my "taking a coat back my son didn't like" fuchsia outfit for today. Jacket is berry like Day Vies, but I love the flower on the hat and had to include it too. I realize the python purse and leopard belt clash, but no one will see that with the coat zipped : )

Photo 3 is what I plan to wear out for dinner tomorrow - sorry the ighting is terrible. Halogen pencil skirt with a leopard print peasant-ish style skirt loden linen jacket. This combination was in another thread of mine back a ways.

Fuschia take two! The BF came home for lunch and I haggled him to be my photographer. He got a kick out of my exclaiming, "it's fuchsia Friday!" You'll have to imagine my purple suede slingbacks with this, as they are packed up already. (As worn in pic #2 earlier this year)
