How can I resist when the challenge includes fuchsia! I love seeing how you are all incorporating fuchsia and pinks into your fall/winter outfits.

Mine is simple -- fuchsia top (I think more in the pink end than the purple end of the color), black ponte leggings, and hot-pink patent combat boots (dunno if you can see the spikes in the back from the angle) Kind of matches my hair too! Apologies for the weird pink lighting

Fuschia blazer with black top and tweedy wide-leg pants. Hope not too Sgt. Pepper.

Hooray for Fuchsia Friday! This is a slight revamp of the top and scarf combo I wore a week or so ago that seemed a little off. This time I think I got it right.

Fuchsia drapey crossover top, scarf, dark jeans, (hard to see but there) snakeskin print belt with gold buckle, taupe booties, and for a topper a deep purple corduroy jacket. The jacket has a really great use of the corduroy--it is cut on the bias.

I also used an interesting knot for the scarf called a "friendship knot" via the Mai Tai website. Mine is a little sloppier and looser than her example, which I think suits my outfit.

Love the idea of collecting these looks all together. Then only thing I'm struggling with is that I want comment on everyone's FABULOUS OUTFITS!!!! And it doesn't seem possible to in my post.

Fuchsia Friday--I love alliteration and matchy matchy so how could I resist this fun challenge! Thanks Sona for the great idea and Shannon for starting the thread! I skimmed through this thread and I am loving all the stylish variations on a theme...everyone's outfits look great! Will have to go back and digest them properly after work.

Here's the outfit I wore (more pics in my WIW thread):
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....weedpatent

I haven't done much in the way of tonal color mixing outfits before but I really like how this one turned out. I paired my fuchsia wool blazer and shirt with my burgundy tweed skirt and oxblood patent clutch and boots. I felt very J Crew, even though none of these pieces are from there...I was inspired by the bright colors in their winter catalog. The outfit feels like "preppy luxe" to me with all the rich colors and textures. Of course I had to do the matchy matchy with the boots and clutch. And I just realized that this outfit follows Angie's recommendation of color (bright fuchsia, burgundy and oxblood), pattern (tweed boucle skirt and burgundy snakeskin bracelet), texture (wool and tweed) and shine (patent "leather" clutch and boots). It was fun to create a totally new combination and pushed me to try tonal mixing! This was so much fun, thanks Sona for the great idea!

Nordstrom Tulle fuchsia wool blazer (from the Junior's section)
Japanese Weekend fuchsia maternity shirt (with faux white collars/sleeves/tail)
Nordstrom Halogen burgundy boucle tweed skirt (Angie's pick from NAS)
White House Black Market burgundy snakeskin and silver cuff
DSW Urban Expressions oxblood patent clutch (it has a strap, but I'm realizing clutches are too small to be practical--even my wallet is too bulky to fit in there!)
Aquatalia Vavoom oxblood rain boots (it was raining today so it was perfect for the weather!)
and Max

Well, I had planned on going into the the office today but it is raining cats and dogs so fushia Friday is plan B. I am working at home so please excuse the wet hair.

Jag Jeans
Puruvian Connection T
Old tunic
Aquatalia Suede Waterproof boots (I love these)

It's really chilly here today (like, JR is not lying about how cold it is), so I opted for a long sleeve fuchsia top under a grey/black chunky sweater with a pink chunky necklace and skinny jeans.

Apologies for my "super keen-lean into the photo" look - I bought a new camera lens and I haven't figured out how to take pictures of myself with it yet. Let's just pretend I'm super happy about fuchsia. Which I kind of am, actually!

Thanks to Sona and Shannon for organizing this thread!

What an amazing variety! Fuchsia, or its cousins, seems very popular.

Shannon, love the column of neutral --one of my fav approaches.
rachylou, way cool skirt and stripes.
goldenpig, wonderful combo and gives me ideas for combining these colors with a few items I have--need to play in closet.

and so many more.

@pil: love the skirt. its the same one I wore today! And TS has that cardi too I think. I don't see any unkempt. just fab fuchsia looks!

@Mo:take one: fuchsia goes to the gym. so fun. take two: love the shoes.

@cciele:fab top!!

@unfrumped:Fab blazer. and the combo looks great on you!

@goldenpig: Yeah baby. That's how tonal is done!!

@kcanshop: love the scarf with the top. and that frienship knot is calling my name!! inspiration strikes.

@Deb: great tunic!!

fab fuchsia underlayer @Krista!!

Thanks to all. Will see if I can put together a gallery of all the looks tomorrow.

Oh flippin' heck I forgot!!!
You all look wonderful I'll try and do it tomorrow x

I really like all of the fuchsia outfits I have seen. You ladies are awesome!

Turns out the only fuchsia or pink I have is outerwear, so here I am in my fab pink trench that April was kind enough to send me almost two years ago! It was rainy today so this was the perfect thing to brighten up the day!

First off, EVERYONE looks so amazing in fuchsia and this thread is brilliant and happy! Here's my version and fuchsia was called for today as it's raining here in Southern California, so this color was a happy pick-me-up!

This is Suz-inspired and a total swipe and switch with the following items:

H&M fuchsia knit two-button blazer, blue-and-white striped Ann Taylor tee, dark wash J. Brand jeans, navy suede Impo booties. One photo has a blue animal print scarf and the other is a white and navy polkadot scarf.

Thank you Sona and Shannon for putting this together and I'm ready to rock another color when you call it!

OMG, every single one of these looks is fab! I wish I had some fuchsia to play along. I like the sound of Fuchsia Friday so much more than my son's No Shave November. Thank goodness tomorrow is the first day of December!

Home now, so here is mine! Pulled out all the fuchsia/pink in my wardrobe for this - I have a couple of other tops but it was too cold for those. Scarf was only really worn with my coat when outdoors.

These are AMAZING!!! Coming back to comment soon.

Okay, I am chuffed by these outfits!!

Such an array, and this colour range so flattering to so many.

Diana, love your layers, and I know what you mean; they were NEEDED today. That scarf is gorgeous.

Vicki, I am awed that I inspired you and I love your interpretation. The booties are so fab.

MaryK - that coat would banish any grey!

Krista, I totally hear you on the need for layers. That was my conclusion, too.

Deb - cute tunic! Looks comfy for working at home.

Natalie, your tonal mixing is brilliant, and wow, that Angie knows what she is talking about...the skirt is gorgeous!

K can - you look stunning in this colour. Love the scarf.

Unfrumped...we are virtual twins today!! Yay!!

Cathy...those boots are unbelievably great. WOW!!

Okay...have to go back to page 1!!

Okay...I may miss somebody here, but if so, I apologize....there is so much fuchsia love here it is hard to see.

Rachy - LOVE the textures in your outfit. You look wonderful. I hope you will keep posting pics; I always love your WIWs.

MO - each one of your interpretations is gorgeous. Question...do fuchsia and blush work together? If so, I'll bet you have a dozen things you could do....

Sarah, I always love you in that sweater.

Day Vies and Cinnamon Fern - FAB coats!!

Pil...you look great in all of yours, and I think maybe you and I are in competition for the most fuchsia items in a wardrobe!

Fuchsia Friday! Boy did I pick the perfect time to return to the forum! I did a trusty MOTG formula of blazer, top, jeans, and ballet flats. I had planned to layer the blazer over a black tee but after finding my inspiration pic (#3) I decided to take my cue from Mother Nature and wear a purple top instead.

Pic 1 fuchsia blazer, purple sleeveless top, skinny jeans, black ballet flats, and purple shoulder bag
Pic 2 close up of blazer since pic one was taken in too much sun
Pic 3 inspiration pic of fuchsia blossoms

Couldn't resist playing along today...may I join in?

1) Temps were in the high 70's F today so I ALMOST wore this.

2) At the last minute, I decided to try to make it more fall appropriate.

Happy weekend y'all!

AJ - so great to see you - and you look FAB!!! Love you in this colour. And what a treat to see your hat.

Jewell, for some reason I couldn't view your pics....I will come back later to see if it works. Sometimes that happens.

Just chiming in again in a fuchsia frenzy to say how happy I am to see you, AJ, and pic 2 is adorable you fuchsia cutie.

WOW! Everyone looks FANTASTIC! I'm loving all the variations on fuchsia and am so thrilled that so many participated!

Sona - thanks for the fab idea!

It's lovely to see them all together; here is mine (again).

I was wearing a blue 3/4 sleeve top underneath a fuschia top which I bought from Ezibuy.

Here is a link to it http://www.ezibuy.com.au/women.....-75316.htm

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, BUT I just realized my pictures didn't show up for some reason. Maybe it was because I posted from my phone instead of my pc.

Pic one is my outfit with inspiration photo of fucshia blossoms- that's what prompted the pairing of the blazer with purple instead of black. Pic two is the actual WIW pic taken in too much sunlight, but oh well.

P.S. Loved everyone's outfits! Looking forward to the next color challenge : )
