From dull to a bit more dapper.

Here are a few WIW last week. All were working in my mind’s eye. I am thankful to have the pics to study, so I can make some adjustments next time.
1) I liked the color combo. The pants are a very light blue and white stripe. Ugh. The topper erased any shape I thought I had. A jean jacket would have been much better.
2) This outfit worked ok. I did like the gray pants with the blouse, but will go with white pants, or a white jean skirt in the future.
3,4). My fave outfit of the week. I was happy that the preplanning actually worked and the outfit came together. These are my fave pair of wide leg crops.
5,6,7). What is a post from me without a little peek at my happiness factors? I wore the tiara with outfit 3,4, but didn’t get a picture. Maybe next time.....HA!

Mainelady, I wouldn't have said dull ... subtle perhaps? I agree though, you shine in 3 & 4; can you ever wear red! Love the happiness factors

You look really put together in all your photos, but your outfit in 3/4 is a standout. Your bracelets make me happy, too.

Mainelady, 3/4 outfit is GORGEOUS. Everything is perfect together and you look stunning in the red and in the zebra on red.
I like 1. Really like the pants with the orange top and the shorter necklace, The dark topper is good too, but maybe, as you say, try one with more structure.
No 2 is pretty. It will be also nice with lighter bottoms, I think.

What a marvelous collection of bracelets! The zebra one and the cameo especially take my breath away.

Thank you all for your kind comments. When we know, we know, right? The 3,4 outfit I knew was a good one and felt great all day. When the first two outfits fell short of my expectations, I didn’t have time to change, so had to work a bit harder to boost my mood. Enter the happiness factors.

Joy and like the season, the bracelets are quickly becoming an essential part of my style. You will be seeing more of them.
Katerina, the zebra bracelet was given to me by a colleague to commemorate a presentation we gave last week. She bought a matching one for herself. Fun! The cameo is an old family piece. I hadn’t worn it for years. It made me happy to take her out for a spin. One of my goals is to wear more of my jewelry.

You have an amazing jewelry collection. I am so jealous! The pairings shown here are all to die for. I looked at 5 and think, It's the nicest, but then, I see 6 and No this one even better and by the time I reach 7 I don't know which one to chose as my fave. They all are.
As for the outfit, I am with you, 3/4 sings on you.

3/4 is brilliant. I really like number 2 aswell, I think it’s really very sweet. Number one? Not sure but I think the proportions aren’t as awesome, and perhaps the dark cardi is too much contrast against the light pants. Still very presentable though. Thanks for sharing.

Now I think you have been harsh on yourself. Outfit 3/4 is amazing - so yes I can see that one making you feel fantastic and the tiara would have been so fun with that outfit. However, the other two are really nice as well. It is interesting though to see photos, I know myself, it helps to see how to improve outfits afterwards and analyse how I can make things work better. I love your happiness factors, a great way to add fun and personality to even the most subtle outfit.

I actually like the proportions of outfit #1 on you,maybe a lighter coloured topper would have changed your mind about this one and I agree with the other commentators #4is fab!so sorry not to see your tiara!

I love your #4 combination. What a great jacket! Now that warm weather is (almost) here, I'm wearing more bracelets and finding that making combinations of several at once is trickier than I would have thought. Love yours--maybe you could give us some tips on how to do it.

Jussie and Cardiff Girl, you may be right. Perhaps the dark color of the cardi is what is throwing the first outfit off. I’ll try a lighter color next time.
Bijou, the photos really are helpful. For some reason I get much more info than studying an outfit in the mirror or a flat lay.
Thank you Ms. Maven I’m not sure if my stacking methods will be helpful, but here’s what I do: I look for a mix of metals, widths, materials and colors. I also mix high end with inexpensive pieces. I try to have at least one bracelet that picks up a color from my outfit. If I have one mixed metal bracelet, then any of the others will usually work with it. I like to mix bangles, links, beads and cuffs together. I usually lay a few out on the dresser to eye while getting dressed. Then I do a couple of tries to see which order looks the most interesting, or if one slides too easily under another. It is a maximal look, so it can take some getting used to.
