It looks great on you - cool and comfortable! The colour combination in the pattern is lovely. I like all your styling ideas.

I like this long flannel, but prefer it open. I’d really like to see it belted to give it some structure.
And i really like the denim outfit

You look adorably cozy and warm. All versions work well.

Did a little outfit lab using some of your suggestions, including Inge's brilliant idea to wear with orange.

#1 is the super basic way I wore today. My favorite is the very 90s look of #5, but I could see myself wearing most of these except the more fiddly belted ones.

Sloper, omg, my stepbrother used to mix mayo and butter for garlic bread and it was delicious. Bet the grilled cheese is even better.

Love them all! My favorite is #5, as well, but I also really like #9 and #10.

Tanya, #10 is my second favorite. Those are the two I'm most excited to wear.

I can honestly think of at least this many more combinations I didn't even try, just from pieces currently in my quite small wardrobe. It makes me happily realize that yes, I have more than enough clothing.

What a great piece, Jenn. These all look fab. I especially like 9 & 10.

I love what you have done with that flannel. I would have never thought it could be so versatile. And the shade is really great on you. Excellent pick! Wishing you strength and patience for the courtyard.

Thanks shevia. I think I've already spent more hours in that stupid courtyard than I have anywhere else in LA besides Disneyland and my house.

(And thank you, Carol S, too!)

You can safely say this is a versatile addition

NICE styling! #10 with the burgundy is my best!

Jenn- have you not yet discovered the LA staple....elote man? (the guys that walk around selling corn from a push cart) They dip ears of corn in liquified mayo. It's totally a thing!

Chewyspaghetti, I LOVE elote! We live in a nightlife-heavy area, and they like to set up outside bars and theatres around here in the evenings. Yum.

Liquified Mayo?? On elote?? Good god.

Jenn, you have so many good ways to wear the topper. I’d wind up throwing it on over nearly anything and adjusting it 18 different ways in one visit—tucking it in cause I was cold, pulling it out & unbuttoning cause I was hot, pushing/rolling the sleeves up/down, folding it up to use as a pillow while I take a little nap….

Yes to pairing it with orange (if I do say so myself). Like, Angie, I'm also really loving it with the burgundy, what a gorgeous Fall colour palette.
Really liking it with the cream cami and those suede booties too, and also with your graphic tee + skirt + combat boots.

Looks like this is going to be quite a versatile item in your wardrobe, yay!

I like your styling variations. And finally FINALLY a bit of rain! You know, I've never tried elote (shame on me). I should find a version I can make at home.

The outfits are all great and so different from each other! I would never have thought of so many different looks with this duster. I LOVE no 10 - such an interesting colour combination and you had me with the large purple scarf!

This is a the perfect length & looks great on you,-indeed somehow between the tunic and dress-and I would be glad to find it in my shops! Looks and feels great for your actual needs-love the mustard&white plaid, so hard to find!

I like all your styling ideas, those you have mentioned in text as well as those you have shown in pictures.

An additional idea: How about wearing this yummy topper open over corduroy or velour pants in cream, beige, tan or rust plus a comfortable top (e.g. tee, crewneck or turtleneck pullover) in any of these colours?

Best wishes for your personal challenges. Warm thoughts from me.

Angie, I was planning to wear the burgundy tomorrow, but with an afternoon high of 82°, I might have to rethink!

SF, I definitely need layers I can take on and off throughout the day. The other day, the weather was such that I was cold in the shade and hot in the sun, no matter what I did. I ended up finding a seat half-in/half-out and just leaned one way or the other as necessary.

Inge, it's finally starting to feel like fall here--or at least, it did for a day or two. Back to summer for a bit later this week.

Sloper, I was so happy about that rainy day yesterday! It's been a while. Elote is easy to make at home! Take corn on the cob, slather it with mayo, sprinkle with tajin, and top with some queso fresco (or parmesan, if you can't do fresh cheeses.)

Katerina, the photo of the scarf might be a bit misleading. It's actually burgundy, just slightly less saturated than the tights. I'll add a Find, but I'm not sure the color accuracy is any better.

lyn67, it's definitely a less-common plaid combination!

The Cat, those stylings would be lovely if I had any such pieces in my wardrobe, but I don't. Autumn trousers in those sorts of colors are often in the back of my mind when I consider seasonal updates, though, so perhaps in a season or two, such a combination will come to pass.

Love # 7 belted over the dress…but the casual layers in #3-5 have a retro cool vibe that i really like as well

I love this new duster, Jenn. The colour combinations you have created are so beautiful, and flannel feels so comforting to me.
Grilled cheese and tomato soup are my go-to comfort foods.

I do love all these combinations and am surprisingly drawn to the belted ones. Surprising because I am not usually a fan of belting. 2,3, 9 and 10 are my favorites.
