My capsule exercise has given me a new appreciation for my closet! 1-3 are recent WIW. My orphaned kimono jacket just needed a plain white tank to work. It's making its debut today. The rest are recent tag sale purchases from anthro. I wanted some plain white tops and I think I found them although I'm on the fence with 4 because of the balloon sleeves. The floral bomber is beautiful but I'm not sure it's JFE or all that versatile. Love the dress but have a size up on the way--not sure if the waist on this one is too high or not. Thanks for looking. Opinions on the anthro picks welcomed!

Some great pieces here. The only 1 I am on the fence on is the jacket in #7 because it looks more spring/summer colors and I am already thinking fall colors/outfits. #3 is my favorite of this bunch!

2 is super neat and tidy to me. I like this outfit especially. Think the top in 5 is very clever and cool. Not a big fan of 4, seems a lot of top to me. And the dress really appeals to me: bold.

I think you did really well with the white tops. I like them all. I also like the dress a lot! To me it looks like a high waist style (intentional); I can't imagine you wearing a size up; it just doesn't look small at all. Love the bomber on you--I vote keep!

@rachylou: Thanks. You know, the top in 4 has these huge balloon sleeves. I was trying to get them to sit down a little but not sure they will stay that way. It’s a shame because the top is gorgeous.
@Sharan: Thanks. I realized doing the 30x30 that there is something to be said for simple tops with interesting details. Those seemed to be a missing piece in my wardrobe.

I love your kimono outfit. I agree with Firecracker about the dress being a high-waist style and looking perfectly fine on you. It is very pretty BTW. I liked all White tops on you, including number 4.

Great selection of white tops--I like all of them on you, even #4. That one would be a challenge for some people, but I think you carry it off. I don't know about a size up on the dress. It looks fine to me as it is. I look forward to comparing the two sizes on you.

Hi Kellygirl. After having completed a 30 x 30, it can be such a relief to return to the greater wardrobe. All of your WIWs look great, but I too am enamored with number 4.

I love white tops for summer months (well, any month really). At first glance, I adored number 4 on you. But I read Rachy Lou's always astute comment and I went back and looked it at some more. After scrutinizing it some more, I agreed with Rachy Lou. It is just a tiny bit overwhelming on your frame. It might be the added volume of the sleeves, I don't really know.

Hi - late the party, I think, but I am also very drawn to #4, Kel -- you must have done a good job of taming the sleeves, bc they don't look balloony to me. Really pretty look.

I like your outfits, esp #1. You look so good in bf jeans.
I prefer the kimono (love the print) to the new bomber - sleeves look too long and difficult to alter and I don't see the point of a sheer topper.
I love #4, I like the balloon sleeves better than the wide sleeves of top #5 and dress #8 - soften the shoulders without overwhelming you.
Nice tee in #6, with texture and pretty sleeve detail.

It seems likely to me that in real life the motion and light weight of the fabric would make any extra volume less dense
My favorites are any of the whites because you wear it so well and the dress is gorgeous.
