As I posted here, I wanted to find some teaberry in 2024. It is a warm, almost fleshy pink. Think warm flushed cheeks and pink peppercorns, and add a couple levels of saturation.

Well...

I somehow stumbled across a discontinued yarn. The stock photos looked very promising. I was nervous the color wouldn’t be true to the stock photos. Teaberry in yarn? How could this be!

I spent a long time tracking down a tiny yarn shop in the middle of Wisconsin that had a few remaining skeins. (Yes, it's been discontinued a long time.)

The yarn just arrived and... I have not be left wanting! It's the most unbelievable and beautiful teaberry! It looks beautiful with my dark autumn fans. AND... the fiber mixture is a triumph, It is a blend of New Zealand Merino wool, Angora, alpaca, and silk noils/nubs.

Not sure yet what I'll knit with the teaberry yarn. But the color has stolen my heart.

I'm almost nervous to knit anything out of it. But if 2023 taught me anything: saving nice and pretty things isn’t worth it. It's much better to wear and enjoy, and lose the item to loving wear.

PS: I found the yarn in a chocolate chestnut color too. SO... I bought 10 skeins of it. 2024 will be a year of teaberry and neutrals. xo

PPS: The yarn is HiKoo Kenzie in color# 1029 "Hebes" for those who want to try finding it.
