Tam, I called CM Miami today and they were all out. Then they had the store in Atlanta check and call me back and sure enough they had the 10s and they had been marked down to $9 this morning!!! Can you believe that? So I went ahead and ordered for you Tam The pants should be arriving in 3-5 days.

Sarah, if you're still interested you should call them ASAP! $9 for the pants + $7 for shipping cannot be beat!

I got some! Well I think I did, anyway. I called Atlanta and they were so helpful. I didn't have the product name or number so I just said the black and white mini check pants. He said they only had those in 2 and 4 left, but that they had my size in a herringbone. So I really don't know what I'm getting but they were the same price!

Some one gave me a "reverse" compliment earlier today and I initially wasn't going to splurge, but I thought I deserved a little pick me up. I think they'll look great with my Frye oxfords.

I don't know Sarah, I think I"m going to have to become very rich before spending any time with you I can't even imagine the fun of one of your shopping trips with Patience and Ana. Makes my head explode.

Someone apparently bought the last 2 so I got the 4 instead (I was going to get both and return the one that didn't fit). Now I can't decide if I should call up one of the NY stores and find a 2 now or just wait and see if the 4 fits (and if it doesn't, possibly being unable to find a 2 anywhere else).

BTW thanks for the info Niva. The guy I talked to was so cute, I fell in love a little on the phone :p

You guys need to make a collage of your beautiful selves modeling the CM microchecks. Seriously! From what I've seen, these pants work great for all different shapes and sizes.

I think it's okay for me to get these. I own just two pairs of actual pants. It's so hard for me to find a pair that suit my personal style and don't make me feel overdressed. These really fit the bill (and will be great for interviews).

I'm afraid the 4's won't fit after hearing San's report but we'll see.

Ana, browsing sounds good to me. Window shopping always amuses me.

It's funny...I had a pair of pants like these back in '89. I bought mine at Gap, when I worked for them. Obviously, the style was different then...and I definitely don't wanna go there! LOL.

Haha, Maya, I'm not rich. I work so I can afford to shop. After these pants though, I really need to take a step back so I can afford to take my cruise next month.
One of the downsides of losing weight is that you pretty much have a "disposable" wardrobe. I've been shopping a lot of sale racks, Wal*Mart, and consignment shops. I also consign larger items so I can afford smaller ones.
Ana and Patience have a great shopping strategy I think. We do our usual circle of stores and they give everything a good look and make a decision later. Smart shoppers they are.
I'm just looking forward to being done so I can invest in nicer pieces. Some day!
I'm excited about my pants. I have one pair of work pants (also CM) and as much as I love dresses, I really do like wearing pants now and then.

Hehe, I assume nothing about you or anyone else Sarah. I just know that *I* would have to be rich. Right now it would be great to find any paying work at all though, so I don't even focus on that.

My shopping strategy is quite poor. Go to one store, get discouraged (by price, fit, style, etc), go to the next store, get more discouraged, and keep going until I finally feel frustrated and leave. It's so much easier with other people. I hate shopping alone but with Angie, Tanya, and Laura I actually had FUN.

Glad you're all are getting those pants at a great price. Maya, I think 4 would work - I got 4 but went back and forth between 2 and 4 for a long time.
Lesley, the inseam is around 34, like all CM pants. You should give them a try.

Yes, I vote for a CM microcheck fashion show! I really enjoy seeing how the same clothing item looks on different bodies, shapes, coloring etc. and how different people interpret them so it's always a treat when multiple forum members own & wear the same item.

No, I am resisting - even for $16. I already have two pairs of microchecks. As an inverted triangle, pants have always been easy for me (well, having babies & developing a stomach pouch made it harder) - so I have amassed an incredible number of pants, many of them a little dressier (which I find these CM microchecks to be) than I need for my every day life. That's why I had to institute the shopping ban - to focus my efforts on tops & dresses where I have more trouble.

Can't wait to see everyone's microchecks looks!

Lesley, one of the reasons I love CM is because of their long inseams and sleeve lengths (perfect for tall lasses like San, Inge and Marianne - and people with gorilla length arms such as myself). At 5ft 6, I am not tall, but you lose length when you are a small size and it’s personally a constant challenge with American clothes. Most things are too short. For those of you who are extra tiny, CM offers 00 sizes too.

Thanks Devin. Here's hoping the 4's will fit. I wonder what the salespeople at all these stores must be thinking when they get 4 calls a day asking for these pants to be shipped across state lines, hehe.

I foresee a Club Monaco micro check pants thread where we all compile our pants pictures...

For those who already have them, do you think these could function as casual pants? I was originally hoping for a pair of bootcut MC pants because I could wear them with my chucks, but these are straight legs if I'm not mistaken. Could they work with casual ballet flats?

Lwc I don't know what the inseam measures, but I would say its not super long, maybe 31 or 32". I'm 5" 8 and will need to take down the hem of size 10s to make them PPL even for flats.

OK - does anyone have the official product name/number on these fantastic pants? I'd like to do some calling around to New York stores to see if I can find them.

How about sizing advice? Any size charts online anywhere? Or is there another model of their pants in a similar fit that I could try on in person?
