For those of us not participating in this year's NAS, we need to have a support group - you know, where we hold each other's hands while looking at all of the delicious goodies other Fabbers will be buying. There will be all sorts of tempting items and it's gonna get tough

Not me! But that's ok -- I think my wardrobe is in a pretty good place now, and I think adding a piece or two in the fall is all I need to do!

I'm joining the support bench as well Shannon. I still find it a good process, even from the sidelines - it helps inform my choices as to what I would like to purchase locally.

I'm going to try to sit this one out unless I get an unexpected windfall or there is something I have really been looking for. I always get whipped into the frenzy because it's all so fresh and new and exciting, but then I end up returning 99% of it because I can't wear it right away. The last 2 years I ended up repurchasing about 40% of those same items when they've been marked down even more, but I have missed out on a few items I would have really liked to have had. What I've learned most here is there is always another item I'll lust over and if I miss one, so be it. I'll enjoy it on someone else here without having to pay a dime for it.

I am off of NAS. I have been not shopping much for several months and finally feel like I am over using shopping to avoid what I really need to get done (peeling wallpaper!). My weight is up and I dont feel like buying since I dont know where I will settle out in that dept. I feel like a need a few months to just be chill right now.

well, unless I find some fab shoes at NAs online... even then I am not optimisitic id keep them based upon how hard i find shoes in the fit dept.

Well truth be told I would love to participate but cannot abide the duty to Canada. So on the sidelines cheering, and maybe drooling, and maybe feeling somewhat envious hahaha.

I am not participating. I bought a lot of stuff a few years ago and realized I didn't wear much of it. I find I am willing to accept less than perfect when I order online and keep things I would never have brought home had I been in a B&M store.

i will watch though as I get great ideas for outfits from seeing other people's successes.

I was very tempted! But the truth is - I have way too many clothes already, and I love what I have. I am not fully SYC, or one-in, one-out, but I am easing into it.

When I feel tempted, I re-visit Angie's article, The Wardrobe Item Saturation Point. And I remind myself that I have financial goals that I would rather meet, than the high of a quick-fix shopping splurge.

Let me tell you, it ain't easy.

So I look forward to photos of the awesome stuff everyone buys, and for us sideliners, I'll cheer us all on! Stay resolute!

Not me! I've been shopping too much already lately and now that my weight is this far down there's no excuse anymore to wait to purge my closet. =)

Yes. Well, it looks like I will buying a new crown. Not the jeweled kind. And since I have no dental insurance, well, that comes at the tune of $1,200. Sigh. No NAS for me! On the plus side, I have some nice clothing already, and I won't have to go naked!

I am not buying from NAS for the same reason as many memebers mentioned above. i will cheer from the sidelines.

I won't be participating. I have the money and I want to purchase something special for my birthday, but nothing this spring or summer has piqued my interest. So following La Belle's lead, I will put that money to use in other ways.

There are never a ton of plus size selections plus living in SoCal I don't want to buy that far in advance. I might go see what's in once the sale has been underway for a bit.

Not me but YLF is full of attractive and exciting member purchases all year long so I have loads of practice in admiring from sidelines. I just use it all for inspiration.

I will be cheering from the sidelines as well, I find that shipping just too much.
I am new to this, I am starting a new job next week and am unsure what I will need, I have also gained 10 lbs, which I do plan on loosing. Yaay YFL team!

I'm probably sitting out -- unless I spot a fabulous pair of shoes or a new bag. My weight is in flux right now, it's HOT, and most of the clothing goodies would sit in my closet until late September/early October.

I feel pressure like I should be buying due to the frenzy on the forum (I am a cardholder), and I feel like I want to set aside time to comb every category online, but to be honest, I don't have the time and don't want to spend the money right now.

The one exception will be the back zip frye boots that have been on my wish list for months. I already have the boot in brown (minus the back zip) so I am pretty certain of the fit and that I will use the heck out of them. At 33% off I can't resist.

Maybe next year I can be more prepared. I don't like making rush decisions and am trying to be in a savings mode at the moment.

I'll be sitting out too but living vicariously through everyone else's purchases. I enjoy seeing what others buy - it gives me ideas for future purchases and ways to repurpose what I already have. I don't expect to get down to my normal weight again until sometime early next year (baby is due mid-Oct.) so no point in shopping before that.

I'm out. Living in Canada means we would have to shell out way too much for duty + shipping, a pain that I am sure you understand all too well. That said, I'm excited to see everyone else's finds.

I agree Dianthus that we can get great ideas seeing what is trending for fall and what others purchase. Very inspirational!
