Here are mine! I bought this skirt 5 weeks ago and here are 5 outfits I wore so far: one for each week!
Hmm, after posting them all together it seems I pair different shades of blue with yellow skirt most of all...

Thanks, Sveta!!! I love the skirt with blue! It's been so hot here that I haven't had an opportunity to wear mine or play around with it much. I only have the initial photos of when I was pairing it with some of my other NAS buys (not sure if I look too much like a bumblebee in the second pic!). I did decide to keep the peacock blue Joie top, so I am going to use it to copy look your looks in #1 and 4. Your nude heels look great with it. I am still looking for the perfect pair of nude shoes and am now even more inspired to find them. It looks great with the stripes and navy, too.

Be sure to continue to add to this post as you come up with more ideas. I am adding it to my favorites now. Here's what I have so far, I'll try to get a photo with the blue top later tomorrow.

Debora, I don't believe into pre-set opinions like "yellow and black looks like bumble bee" or "orange and black is for Halloween only" - they just limit you imagination! If it works it works IMO! I like the grey jacket with the yellow skirt and a bit of black looks good there I think. Black boots may look harsh against the bare legs but with sheer black hose or black microfishnets it may work just fine! You can try to pair turquoise top with this jacket too.
This is my first pair of nude shoes - as you ai have been looking for ones forever!

Yay, what a fun thread!

I have a shockingly miniscule collection to share. Somehow, though I've worn this skirt a lot since I purchased it, I haven't managed to photograph many outfits. (Maybe I grab my yellow skirt when I'm running late in the morning!) #2 is the only actual worn-out-the-door outfit I've managed to photograph. #1 was just to try on the skirt in the first place, as you can see by the tags still on the blouse.

I'll try to come back and add more later. I'm going to HAVE to steal Sveta's look with the turquoise blouse. Wow!

I'll try to get DH to take some outfit pictures this weekend, although he'll think I'm crazy. I tried posting a photo for Karen Kane today and it wouldn't post. It's not YLF's fault but something I'm doing.
I can and will duplicate Debora's second outfit and one very similar to her first one when it gets lots cooler here.

Thanks, Sveta! I wore that outfit with the purple cardigan to meet Angie for lunch.

Joy & Debora, that top in photo #2 is another Classiques Entier sleeveless blouse, but sadly it is long out of stores. I scored it on clearance at the Rack online in December.

To add to this: my Halogen skirt is replacing a lesser-quality unlined, thinner knit yellow pencil skirt that I wore a lot last Spring. These are some of my outfits with that other skirt that I'd like to duplicate with my yellow Halogen pencil skirt. I guess I had a not-so-subtle primary color obsession, but I still liked it and would add it to my "inspiration board."

(And reminiscing about that funny salmon-colored fireplace tile in my previous apartment - yowza!)

Thanks, Kari! I almost bought the first top you have on (in the first set of photos). I tried it on and loved it, but didn't realize at the time that I would end up buying the yellow skirt. Maybe I can pick it up at the end of the season if it goes back on sale.

Love how you styled the second set of photos. The Halogen skirt is so flattering on you and you were smart to upgrade. It looks great with purple and also with the polka dots.

Ladies, thank you for your inspiration. I love how each of you adds your personality to the skirt in how you style it, so it looks quite different on all of you. I have to confess that I don't have a coloured skirt in my wardrobe... but I am now on the hunt for one in the hope that I can look half as stylish as you. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I'm so happy to see this thread - I also bought that skirt. It's been way too hot here to even try styling it, though. I'll be saving this thread for about another month, when hopefully I'll be able to even think about wearing something lined!

Joy, I've been busy this week fitting the marching band with their uniforms, so I haven't had a chance to comment much on the forum. I just have to say that I'm soooo happy to seeing you posting again! LOVE your Picture Perfect outfits!

Here's the outfit I posted for the Karen Karen Competition. It's a variation of my others, except I substituted my Ann Taylor polka dot wrap top and the black tights that Sveta suggested above. Ohhh, I could also style this with red shoes like Kari's version above.

Sveta, I absolutely LOVE all the color combinations you are doing with that skirt. The "raisin" is such a unique yellow (I have a vast collection of yellow, and nothing like that), and you've not only highlighted that, you've added great dimension with the blues and reds. Amazing.

I am really liking this collection of looks. I keep coming back to this thread wanting to wear my yellow skirt more and more often!

Also, from my own files: Photo #1-2 below is my re-creation of one of the blue/white/yellow/red looks I posted up above, with my old yellow skirt. (Nautical/Mad Men/Patriotic? Or maybe just an attempt to wear primary colors without looking too much like a box of crayons.)

And I'm also re-posting my look from one of the days in Bella's Picture Perfect Challenge last week (Photo #3), because I was really happy with the way it turned out.

BJ - I think what's helped me pull out that Classiques blouse was to physically put it next to all the colors in my wardrobe that would coordinate well with the blouse. Yellow brings out the gold tones; navy blue and magenta or burgundy work beautifully with it; denim is a no-brainer, as is white. Deep purple is pretty; lighter/medium shades or purple are not my favorites, though. Even muted chartreuse and my favorite "pumpkin" cardigan don't look too bad next to it. The one thing I'm not crazy about is black, as it seems to flatten the pretty colors in the blouse. Hope that this helps!
