Flashback to 2008!

Emboldened by Angie's recent posts on bootcuts I brought mine out today (casual Friday) for the first time for a while. With it is a blouse I bought back in my first YLF year. Also a jacket that I hadn't been reaching for but wore heaps last spring.
Your comments would be appreciated, specially on
- which is better full tuck, semi tuck or out
- is the blouse dated?
- generally is it flattering
- did my attempt to bookend the booties with the scarf and necklace work?

I did actually wear my cobalt booties with the outfit most of the day.

Anne, you look terrific in boot cuts and I also love the colours in the top on you.

I am not sure you bookended per se but the intense colour of the jacket balances the colour value of the jeans and boots to a great degree.

And your glasses also add visual weight up top.

However the print and fabric of the blouse are a bit on the "light" side visually, so I understand your concern.

As to the datedness of the top, I do think the fitted shape with ruffles is not "current" exactly -- but it does not look "out of style" to me, either. I think I prefer this particular top out...not 100% sure though.

I *love* that jacket colour on you! No wonder you wore it so much last year! It goes really well with the blouse too. I don't think the blouse is dated, but I'm not edgy/trendy, so take that for what you will. It's very flattering on you: I like it best in 4 and 1 (so not fully tucked). I can't really see your scarf/necklace so I can't help there.

I think that the blouse untucked, with the jacked (#3), is quite flattering on you. And yay for boot cuts! To me the cut and dark wash make your legs look long and lean! Really cute look.

I like it untucked too and with the jacket. I think the blouse works particularly with your colouring and is something that could be *timeless* for you. *Rachylou stamp of approval*. Hehe.
