First WIW in Many Months - Many

I have been thinking about starting to post WIWs again for a while. First I couldn't find a battery for my camera and then I couldn't find the cable to download (Sony). And third, my memory card was full this morning after one pic. I am also so out of practice that I forgot to put on shoes before I took the first pic. LOL I realized after I saw a pic that didn't turn out that it looked better without the shoes anyway. Ha
I picked up a few dresses before a week long work trip to TO about a month ago.

1. It was chilly out that day so I put a denim jacket over top of the dress. It doesn't do up but I wouldn't do it up anyway. I added a low wedge in neutral.

2. Inspired by Kari who wore a great skirt/top in blues and greens. I ordered three tops and two skirts from Nordstrom and this is one of the tops.

3. The VC ruched tube. I got a petite because that is what my striped one is and I liked the fit. This one is a bit shorter but okay. I love the color of this top and they had it in a nice blue that I was tempted to order.

4. Another one of the pre-TO dresses. My fiance told me it reminded him of a Bay blanket. I suspect only Canadians will get that one.

One of my co-workers was wearing the Sam Edelman flats with the metallic toe and they looked so cute that I ordered a pair a while ago. They are comfy but have little cushioning so they are good for a day at work but not with a ton of walking.

That's all. I forgot to take a pic one day. I was wearing the same blue pants with a print top.

Great to see you! Your style is soaring. All of these are fab but I especially love 3 and 4. So pretty. That pink/black combo is stunning on you. Adore the stripey dress too. You are looking fab as ever!

1. I don't think my denim jacket does up either - yours looks nice here; I like the contrast between the blue/green.

4. Is one of my favourites. It does not look like a Bay blanket! The colours are all wrong!!! Teehee.

I really like my Sam E flats but I find they're good for short stints of walking only because they don't have much arch support.

Great to see you again! You're looking wonderful. I absolutely LOVE the "Bay" dress. It's a bit of a wild card, very feminine looking and flirty. The stripes keep it from looking too girlish and twee and the footwear choice was inspired!

Love #4 on you, too -- you wear those colours to perfection. Top has a lovely drape to it on you.

The dress in #1 is also great.

Isn't it weird what a summer we are having? So much cooler than usual.

Oh your dresses are SO cute. I love the print on #1 and love the color and stripes in #4. I wish you'd posted a picture showing #1 without the jacket as well because the print and color is so striking. I do love your use of strong colors fit and flow - great outfits.

Number four looks great on you...a little different! And it is reminiscent if a Hudson's bay blanket...see, I'm an American and know what that is. Too many hours poring over ll bean and pendleton catalogs.

What a funny chain of events, as you tried to return to posting WIWs. Your first outfit is so cute and it's a hoot to think that you didn't even remember you weren't wearing shoes for the photo! Wow, these are all great outfits on you. I love that new ruched tube skirt and the fuschia top with it. The way you have semi-tucked the top is soooo flattering! The striped dress (yes I recognize the blanket allusion, though I wouldn't have thought of it at all--not the right color stripes, is it??) is fresh and lovely on you.

Good to see you again! Love the colorful summer outfit, with and without shoes! The "Bay Blanket" is my favorite -- with the stripes echoed in your shoes. And yes, I get the reference, mostly from growing up on the Voyageur route (on the Wabash River in Indiana), and celebrating with a big festival -- complete with bay blankets -- every autumn.

Is #1 a shift style dress? It's amazing that you can wear both it and the Bay blanket dress -- and both look so gorgeous on you. Love those two outfits in particular, but all looks wonderful on you. The coloring in #3 is also really striking on you. The skirt fits well and I like that length.
