First WIW: Crazy Pants @ the Boston Meet-up!

In the spirit of an amazing weekend in Boston, I am posting my FIRST WIW.

I loved being with such great women and, of course, meeting Angie in person was icing on the cake. I wasn't sure if I'd scare off the introverts at the meet up with this outfit, but I figured I might as well let the Fabbers see me in all of my glory.

1. Travel outfit

Started with a favorite pair of colorful slim pants. Since the weather was cold, I wore this short red coat. (Note: I don't often wear this coat and I think I'll pass on to DD). Added colorful, lightweight cashmere scarf that I bought at a Paris market. I packed in the lightest carry-on suitcase that I own (orange & purple pattern). Grabbed a light blue cupcake tote bag to put all my stuff in and went to train station.

Well, when a man at the train station said to me "nice pants," I realized that this outfit might be ALGO. So I put the scarf and the tote inside the suitcase to "tone it down".

Beautiful second outfit! Also with the first I understand hiding the cupcake bag and scarf to rein it in just a little and find a comfortable balancing point, but I love the pairing of the pants with the suitcase!

I loved every single minute with you in Boston. So much wisdom and so much fun! From the minute you came up to me in the coffee line to the moment I realized you had saved me a seat at the very packed table, I knew you were a special person. The extrovert I was meant to connect with. The woman who would show me every patterned item in every store we went to.

Hooray for crazy pants! (I have a particular ikat print the BF has dubbed 'icky-cat' he he). I also had a comment from an older gentleman last time I wore them. Something about them being hypnotizing. lol

Diana, I wore those florals pants a lot. I'll definitely post them. It was so fun seeing you in Boston. Let me know if you get the Ted Baker vest. I was eyeing it too, but I didn't try it on. When you come to NYC we'll go to Ted Baker in Soho.

Shevia, thank you for the compliment. I had been looking for a blush moto, but didn't want to commit to a leather one. This color is a soft pink and the quality is pretty good for F21.

Sveta, I would obey any order from Angie. But to be honest, I'll post them anyway. In fact, I have a red plaid pair from Top Shop that are "just flattering enough". I'll try to post them soon before the weather warms up and I don't want to wear dark colors anymore.

Janet. I had so much fun rooming with you. Yep at every store, I had to keep saying to myself "stay away from the prints". Sometimes when I look at my pattern mixing outfits, I laugh and tell my family that either I look like a homeless bag lady or I'm fashion forward.

Jeanie, I'll have to go over to that post and check out the pants.

Now this is how to rock a patterned pant, fun colors in the print and you do a nice job with styling your outfit so that the pants remain the star, superb!

12
