Thank you everyone for all the lovely comments! Honestly I don't quite know what I'm doing but all the pieces fit into a nice whole as I put them on.

shevia,
I'd say the new technologies, nationalist movements and mass
ideological warfare, the mobilization of the homefront and the resultant
expansion of the war state, and Woodrow Wilson's messiah complex. And
U-Boats. Oh, there I go...
Deborah I never noticed before but I can see the resemblance! Thank you, I'm flattered!
Yay, thanks Angie!
Beth
Ann I more often than not go for softness since that usually = success,

Gingko,
for the centennials right? If I ever manage a WWI-themed Europe
trek I wouldn't be able to resist the museums in London! And the
preserved fortifications in Italy and Slovenia but only because I have
big stupid nerdy feels for Austria-Hungary.
Cocolion, I think I have an excess of Boho in my wardrobe that I'm not as interested in wearing anymore; I still like it and will keep a touch of it, but I'm leaning towards more polished and put-together, less teenager years. Trying leathers, pattern mixing, putting more thought into lines and lengths. Something like that.
